Title: Kirby's Super Star Stacker
Author:Nintendo & Hal
Rom Player: ZSNES
Reviewer: Shane Skekel

Synopsis: This is possibly one of the better games made for the Super NES due to the fact that this was made in 1998 for an attachment for the SNES called Nintendo Power (also the name of Nintendo's monthly magazine) that wasn't released here. Many people consider this and many other puzzle games "Tetris Clones," but if this was a Tetris clone, you would have to clear pieces in horizontal lines that are of equal length of the playing field. Now on to the review...

Game play: Like all other puzzle games I have played, the game play is addictive and the difficulty is dynamic. The pieces will speed up when you clear a certain number of horizontal or vertical rows, which keeps this game from being too easy. Like Kirby's Avalanche, there's also a story mode(with a simple plot I might add) that adds some
variety.

Graphics: The crayon-style graphics are easy on the eyes, but they aren't the kind of graphics used in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (not to mention its graphics were up to par with the PS version of CV: Symphony of the Night, and YI was made in 1995) or Donkey Kong Country 1,2, and 3.

Music & Sound: It may not be death metal, but it gets the job done.

Originality: This is based on Kirby's Star Stacker for the Game Boy, but the addition of a story mode and a time game separates the two.

What do I say? The rom is worth it, and if you do find an actual cartridge get the NP add-on, but it will only fit in the second model Super NES or a European model.

Best Cheats: Make sure you practice a lot in this game, because it is really hard at times.
