If you think that the fun part of playing a MMORPG is killing 5 trillion NPCs to get levels, then go play EQ2. WoW is going to be about Horde vs. Alliance fighting, I hope, so getting to max level would NOT be the endgame.

I know that. I just don't like a game where you can level up so fast that soon everyone is level 60. Maybe during the expansion pack they will introduce Heros levels.

I just got it a couple days ago. And I just got to level 10 as a night Elf hunter. You don't level up too fast. But it isnt a boring tedious process like it was in Star Wars Galaxies. So far i haven't seen anyone over level 30 on the server im playing.

So far im impressed, this game is highly addictive.

I ended up with not one, but TWO Collector's Editions. I've probably locked in about 5-6 hours so far (just installed the game on Monday), and I'm at level 8. So you don't level up at ungodly speeds, especially when there are so many distractions from EXP hunting.

I also made myself a pretty shirt, pants, cloak, and another shirt. And I have like 10 quests I'm currently on. I'm on Terenas, and I'm an Undead Warlock. The scary thing is I've had people shouting alerts on a high-level Human character attacking the city, and I've seen 3 Orcs and a dead Night Elf. Meanwhile, I've only made it to the second town.

I think it'd be cool if we could all decide on a race/class that none of us have played yet, and all agree to play on one server and work as a unit.

SOMEONE GIVE ME FIVE GOOD REASONS WHY I SHOULD GET THIS GAME. >:

1. Set in the Warcraft world, there is a rich story that continues to develop as you play the game.

2. You're not babied when you start out. You are given skills right at the start (for magic users, at least), and you're fighting actual monsters and enemies right away. No stabbing rats and chickens for the first couple hours.

3. The game looks beautiful.

4. The quests are usually pretty interesting. Even if a lot of them boil down to "kill this enemy type and/or collect X amount of this item" the concepts are still varied enough to keep it interesting. On top of which, utilizing the Warcraft story helps you feel like there IS a purpose to completing all these quests. And there are a lot of quests to be had.

5. Peer pressure. Everyone else is playing it, so you must too.

I can hold two weapons, do about 20 per hit...but I hit crazy fast, I can usually get four strikes before the enemy gets one, so it's about 80.

Mal'Ganis is the server that a bunch of "leet PvP guilds" all picked before the game even came out and is probably the most overpopulated of the PvP servers. Overpopulation is not fun, unless you like waiting at the login screen in a queue.

If we wanna have an i-mock guild, you yucks just pick the place an I'll roll an alt there, but I've a guild on Stormreaver already, and I like them better than I like most of you.

I'll just tell you here. I have something to suggest to the group also.

Talking to my friend the other day, and she suggested this set up, and after thinking about it, it a good system.
So, right now I am trying to set up a system of mulitple charachters so that everyother day I play a charachter that is fully rested so they could get the bonus EXP for being rested charachter. I need roughly 4 charachters to do this.

Warrior Vyus on Mal'Ganis (PVP)
Mage Minimage on Elune (Normal)
Hunter Makatiel on Laughing Skull (PVP)
and I thinking about creating a Pally or NE rogue.

I don't have a set play time at the moment.

The times that I play right now, is when ever I feel like playing.

Just so you know, xp from quests does not count against your rested xp.

Also, a flaw in your system - with characters on different servers you can't mail cool shit between your alts. I'm trying to stick to two servers (3 tops if you guys pick an i-mockery "official" server), and then only because I can't have alliance AND horde chars on a PvP server.

Also, the idea was that everyone would be the same race, so you'd all start in the same area. But as far as the Horde goes, all but the Undead start around the same area, and it's just a zepplin ride away to meet up, so I guess that's OK.

My dream would be to get a couple hundred Horde members to just line up outside of an Alliance city. I'd love to see the look on the face of an Alliance as they looked to the distance and saw that.

Especially when everyone summoned Infernals. :(

A word of advice.

If you can reach a new area, GO AS SOON AS YOU CAN. If people have quests to give you, ACCEPT THEM IMMEDIATELY.

I had visited Ogrimmar before, but never took any of the quests there because I still had a lot to do in Trisfal Glades. Now, all those quests are gone. So yeah, I'm totally fucked over now, and have to start all over just so I can can get those quests with a new character.

Three weeks, down the drain.

See, I'm going crazy. Like I said in my last post, quest-givers I'd seen aren't giving quests anymore. That includes trying to talk to them and getting the quest (I got one Thrall was offering that way).

So either I am going crazy, and nobody was offering quests to begin with, or it is possible to forever miss quests. So far, only one person out of 10 has said you could miss quests forever. So I really don't know. :(

a LOT of quests have pre reqs. the game is still new enough that a lot of the quest info online doesn't list all the requirements either.

say you want a quest from ogrimar, but you are undead and the NPC doesn't seem to have anything to say to you - try blazing thru the valley of trials and razor hill quests to see if maybe one of those is a prereq. this could be a pain in the ass, but if you REALLY want the quest, it might be the thing to do.

or you can check out quest info at thottbot.com, wowvault.ign.com, wow.allakhazam.com, or any of a number of websites with conflicting info about quests :(

It depends, we all love Warcraft so if you do too, then yes it is worth it. But if you're not familiar or just don't like Warcraft, I would say no. Most WoW players are hardcore Blizz fans.

I think for now at least, we should keep guild invites to i-mockery posters and our close friends. I don't really want to just invite every random person who one of us groups with, but that's up for discussion if anyone objects.

Also, I gave everyone /ginvite privs so you can invite each others alts and whatnot. Your alts will need a promotion (or demotion, heh) to get privs. I think I forgot to give promote privs, but I can do that tonight after work.

I wanted to stay away from the ones that every other freaking guild was using. If you wanted trite, go with the black and white skull. People try to be funny all the time. Hell, I've seen a really cool Lobster Dinner Bib one. The Soup one has been used often also.

The Blue comes out with a bit more shine in the game, and the yellow boarders on goldish color.

Pink just looks bad in the game that is already brightly lit and overly colorful, and black/white tends to be used away to often.
But I would go with the skull one, I just didn't want to be the one to suggest it.

I was in Stonetalon running around, and saw a ?? Paladin run by. Being the quck thinking hunter that I am, I ran.

Then, later saw a 29 Warrior just chillin. I pounced on that biotch and wiped the ground with his face. (He also didn't know where I was shooting from, and he had a face full of Angry Raptor)

he rezed, and then killed me. :( I couldn't back up in time to use my distance attacks.

I rezed.
Then, I saw a level 24 Warlock running by, without a pet. Killed that little bitch good.

Then I noticed using my track humanoids that a hellva lot of Alliance idiots where massing. And I kept being raped as I tried to engage some with one on one battles. Would of killed this 27 Druid, but a ?? Warlock ran up and wasted me. :( They had the gale to spit on my body after ganging up on me 5 to 1! Like it was the most difficult thing to do!

I got killed a lot today. I almost took out a 30 dwarf hunter, which must have been really embarassing for him (if I had been able to get my last shadowbolt off, he'd have been dead) because he camped my corpse for two more kills after that. I made up for it by rescuing a 21 priest and a 20 warrior from two 25 rogues that kept ganking them. Then a 29 rogue showed up as backup for the alliance and I killed him, too. :)

yeah, but when you play casually, and the nerds come out in force with their lvl 60 mounted shitheads, and kill you continously, you get happy for every little gain in levels. That much closer to revenge.

yea, the leveling is definately alot quicker than most online rpgs. I love that soloing isn't a lost cause as well.

i find myself thinking I'm a warrior midway through some battles with my priest. If I'm using my mace at all and they dodge I'm right on hitting macro 5....lol woops nevermind, no overpower.
