just got this today, so far it seems to be pretty awesome, very much like aria of sorrow, but with better graphics and such.
couple of new features such as being able to 'fuse' souls with weapons to create new weapons.
finally, my DS has a use (pretty much bought it for this game)

Same here. If this is out already, I'm gonna have a hard time deciding between this and We <3 Katamari.

Here's my first impressions of this game:
This is definitely a good game. The controls are just as good as any Castlevania to date, and the added touch screen abilities are a welcome change of pace. The most attention grabbing use for the stylus would be the "magic seal" technique, where you are required to draw runic symbols on the screen to open up boss doors and to finally finish off a boss. However, this isn't the only use for it. Certain souls provide for some interesting uses as well. For instance, one soul lets you plow through crystal walls using the stylus. Another is that the familiars have returned, and you can direct their attacks using the stylus.
All in all, this is a good game, with a great, not too intrusive use of the stylus. I reccomend this for anyone who owns a DS.
