I was playing this at my friend's house. It's pretty awesome, but nothing i'd want to but a whole other console for.

Wow this game really is amazing. I know everyone that talks about it says the same thing, but damn, this game is great.
Iv killed 4, and then went back and killed them all like 5 times each sonce you can replay battles. each fight is just so sweet, the colosi are just so big and cool looking. Its like playing a movie. The camera is pretty good and you have controll over it so it makes for some epic stuff. Its fun to get behind them, whistle at them to get heir attention, shine the light in their eyes so they attack you, then run up their weapon and climb up them to stab them in the head. fun stuff. plus its fun to explore the place, iv already found some cool places i'll porbly fight in later. the music really sets the mood, and the fact that the place is completely empty and their are ruins everywhere gives it a cool feel.
its just a great game, so im taking my time on it, but i can already tell i will be playing it over again.

You don't need to know a thing about Ico before playing this, though the knowledge does add some subtext to this game. ANd they're also VERY different play styles.

You should play Ico at some point because it's great, but you don't need to play it before this game.

For anyone who's already played it, do you use the regular attack for anything? I mean, when I'm taking down a collosus, I just use the crouch stab and the jump stab. Is the regular attack useful for any of this?

I've never even used the jump stab. For me, it's crouch stab or nuthin'. I've beaten the whole game that way :picklehat

As for the jumping stab, I've used it in a few spots where I didn't have much time to grab and make a good stab, like on that giant electric eel.

The game looked okay as for gameplay - but does it get a bit more colorful as you progress? The demo felt like I stuck in b&w times!
