The Intellivision. A system that many never got a chance to even try out due to the overwhelming success of the Atari 2600. I was lucky enough to have the Intellivision as a kid and it had some of the most entertaining games of the time. It also had some fairly bizarre ones, which brings me to the topic of this article...

I enjoy the fact that Nintendo is basically ripping off of the Intellivision's controller with their Revolution shells. I also enjoyed the article. The ones based on old video games are usually very good.

That's right. If you decide to skip the capture-the-flag game and go straight for the gold, that statuesque guy on the pedestal will get pissed off. No I'm not talkin, "Hey jackass! You're a cheater!" kind of pissed off. I'm talkin, "Oh you think you can cheat at this game? Well I'm gonna THROW AN AXE INTO YOUR FACE!" kind of pissed off. Yep, I guess that guy is supposed to be an angry executioner of some sort. Whatever the case may be, he has an endless supply of axes and he won't stop throwing them at your cheating ass until you're dead.

By far my most favorite paragraph in the entire article. This is some of the funniest stuff I've read in a while.

I used to have an old intellivision i bought off a priest for 10 dollars. It came with over 30 games including white water. Thanks for the memories.

I hope for more Intellivision articles in the future.
Like many, I never got to experience this system.

If you want to play the old intellivision games, get the PS2 Disc of Intellivision Lives. Its okay except for the conversion from the Intellivision controller to the PS2 controler. Why didnt they make a PS2 Controler that Worked like the Intellivision controller. Or better yet, just rerelease the Intellivision as a Bargain System that ships with a few games on cartridges and make it compatibe with the original cartriges.

Why am i writing this, It wont make a difference to the company that currently holds the rights to intellivision.
