You can't count Guitarwoman unless you've met him in person.

I can see it now, "Disappointing sales figures in Japan lead to cancellation of U.S. release of No More Heroes." Guitar Woman's gonna have a baby.

Well, the Japanese also thought being Hitler's home boy was a good idea.

Travis Touchdown is a pretty boss name, though.

/v/'s excited about it because he's the embodiment of a typical 4chan user.

Also, the story's based on El Topo, which is fantastic.

If by "boss" you mean "generic gay porn actor name", then yes.

I'd play it if I didn't pay for it probably.

The whole tone of the game kind of reminds me of God Hand, so I might try it.

No More Heroes quietly released in the US yesterday. Has anyone picked up a copy? I've seen a few positive reviews...I'm curious to read more reviews of it though.

Review from Insomnia.ac (http://insomnia.ac/reviews/wii/nomoreheroes/). This is written based on the import, BTW, so it wasn't written the day after the guy got it.

Dr. Boogie, the reason it's probably reminding you of God Hand is because it was made by the same people, as well as Killer7. I haven't played God Hand (I own it), but I thought Killer7 was kind of lame up until the endgame, which was one of the most offputting things I've ever experienced in my life.

Thanks for the link, Codiekitty. I think I'll chalk this game up to "Rent one of these days."

So wait, people rip on Nintendo for about a [idecade[/i] for not having "mature" games, and then they finally get that kind of violent, "mature" game and nobody buys it?

Gamers are a silly bunch.

I think it looks fun.

Hmm, I don't think it's that. This game was really not marketed well. I hadn't even really heard anything about it until I saw an ad on Penny Arcade a few days ago.

And the GC Resident Evil games sold pretty well within the past decade. The games are being bought, if they're good and people know about them.

I haven't player Killer7, but God Hand is a great game. It received almost no press, and it's a little off-putting because of the difficulty, but I thought it was a great throwback to old school beat-'em-ups.

I was thinking about getting No More Heroes, but I wound up selling my Wii before then.
