when it comes to "borrowing" money.

"I don't want to ask you for money" is definitely not true.
"How much are you willing to loan me?" I'm not playing that game. If you need money, let me know how much you need. If I can spare it, I will. If not, we'll talk about it.

If you're job isn't paying enough, find another job.

Shit, muhfuckah!

My sister asked for money for cigarettes and shit earlier. She wanted ten bucks. I said, "all right, but now you owe me twenty-two for the other day." "What! I gave you a dollar back!" "Twenty-one." "That's right!"

Come to think of it, my dad owes me ten bucks too for that roll of quarters I got him.

And I owe a co-worker 100.

My biggest money gripe is that everyone always forgets to pay me back. And thanks to my enormous guilt-consious, I hate asking them to pay me because I worry that they'll think I'm only after money.

Hey, ZQ, can you loan me $20?

Yeah I know how that goes.

Luckily the only person I owe money to keeps forgetting that I owe her. She let me borrow 200, and I've been paying it back in increments of 50 because I'm cheap and not trying to make myself broke so quickly.

Well im not sure about your situation but whenever I end up lending money to a friend I usually never forget. People who borrow money from me will find that I hang around them more often and when the opportunity is greatest I drop the atom bomb "Hey remember when I lent you money?".

It's my girlfriend so I'm not getting this money back, haha.

Essentially you hit the nail on the head.

People rarely try to borrow money from me anymore because I'm persistent about getting it back. If you don't pay me back by the time we've agreed on, I will make a point to always bring it up. I've had too many people "borrow" money and not pay it back. Jerks.

Is it ok to "borrow" without permission of the lender?

As long as the lender doesn't know.

When I first read this last week I thought it was going to be about "Beating around the bush and not beating the bush directly". The bush I was hoping for was G Bush.

I won't though. I have to at least know the guy in person (sorry. :squigly)

I don't know why I put a fish in there...
