Ok, I wasn't a big fan of the PC game but this one is very fun. Iv'e had it since Saturday and I have been playing it alot. I'm telling ya, if you have a modem for your PS2, pick it up.

I'd rather wait for FFXI, thank you. EQ is a pointless MMORPG with shitty gameplay and graphics.

It's alot different from EQ, aside from races/classes.
The gameplay is great. Alot more action oriented. Don't knock it til you try it.

I don't wanna try it. I'd rather save my money for FFXI if I'm gonna pay monthly fees.

That's fine, just saying that it is a good game. It's practically a totally different game from EQ which is a good thing but it keeps the cool fantasy setting alive.
For online rpgs, currently I play DAoC, SB beta and now EQOA.
Used to play UO until I cancelled after 4+ years. Also just cancelled my AC account since I'm going to be playing EQOA more. I also have a "insight" 98 character on Nexon's Dark Ages but I haven't logged on there for quite the long time now.

I just prefer an RPG with a story. EQ is just running around without much reason to actually, you know, run around. With FFXI, there will be a whole story intact.

I guess I don't mind since I try to create my own story with Online RPGs. In UO I ran a guild on LS and after we got bored, we just made up a bunch of challenges and tests for our members to do to achieve higher rank and the PvP there used to be great. AC was nice cause it had monthly events that would keep you occupied, plus I played on Darktide so it was all PvP which is fun on its own. Shadowbane is all about guild warfare which is cool. EQOA there are quests of course which could be considered a story if you really wanted it to be. DAoC is good cause of RvR.

I just hope the release of the game on the PS2 results in more EQ suicides. :)

I'm not going anywhere near that game or any MMORPG (I might've missed a letter). Way too many people obsessed with it. I hate games where people get too involved with it. I don't even join clans for my online games :/

Haha, me too Mock. I love it when they blame people's problems on video games or movies. It's so hilarious. :(
Well maybe I should start a I-Mockery guild in EQOA, spread the word :)
Too bad everyone here seems to beat it down just because it has the EQ name.

me and some friends used to play an mmorpg called redmoon. www.redmoon-online.com. It was incredibly shitty but my firend still decided he would pay the monthly fee. It only becasue fun when my friend made a hack that pretty much made us invincible and lvl like 50xs as fast. Then he gave trillions of dollars(he could make his own money) to people and destroyed the game's economy. then we all quit.
that is my mmorpg story. :(

I was beta tester for EOA and all I can say is that this game gets really boring really fast. Maybe its just me but running around and killing rats isn't all that fun.

REPRESENT FOR UO CHESAPEAKE.
But as for Everquest Online Adventures, The commercial alone made me not buy it. Way to go Everquest. And for those of you that think Everquest sucks, I think you should go play Runescape for 5 minutes, then come back.

I'm finding plenty to do on EQOA. Level 16 with my Barbarian Warrior and Level 8 with my Dark Elf Shadowknight.
Plenty of quests and hidden side quests.

Suckers, i already run an i-mockery server on Red Faction. :P
As for online RPG, Thrones of Darkness was what i was into. It got gay when ten year olds learned how to use the fucking hex editor, and started cheating. I still beat them at their own game (via cheating, anyway), but man was it annoying.

Honestly, i don't know how much it will be to play on ps2, but on pc it's thirty bucks a month, and i'm betting that they're not gonna drop that price much for the average playstation consumer.

It's 9.99 a month after the first 30 days free. Still having fun. Questing mostly right now.

Only ten a month? That's not bad at all. Thirty though, that's fucking ridiculous. You could buy Several more games with just a few months' fees.

Well the ones I play are $10-12 a month. Didn't even know EQPC was $30. I played it for a month when it came out and it was $9.99 at that time.
