The Legend of April Fools Day
DID YOU KNOW:
April Fools Day was originally SEPTEMBER Fools Day. But many many years ago, a group of people concocted the September Fools joke of telling a number of their friends that it was changed to April Fools on account of the weather.
Now, back in these days, people were easily lead to believe what someone wanted them to believe (fine examples include the Salem Witch Trials, and the Communist Threat). So naturally, the word spread under the guise of truth. And before you knew it, April 1st became the new "Fools Day!"
In the end, April Fools day is, in itself, the first ever April Fools joke.
