My buddy sent me a Pristine Black Diamond as an early birthday present so now all I need is 300g, a bunch of arcanite, and a dead deathnight to get my Epic Mount.

the price of the diamonds on my server put me off getting the paladin mount (800g each, and you need 2). so i decided to do the logical thing and spend over 1000g getting exhaulted to get a non epic mount

and they increased the drop rate for the diamonds in the last patch so their value has dropped :lol

We've had several diamonds drop for us in UBRS, and we gouge paladins for them at the Gadgetzan AH. Those things never go for more than 250g on Laughing Skull, though.

We started ZG last night with another guild. We downed the first boss on our first try (most guilds that I've heard of wipe on this one on their first run through). Second boss took a few tries before we downed him.

In the first couple of attempts, we got him down to 10% before our priests were OOM and the warriors died. That guy hits for about 2500 each time. :O

On a recent run of UBRS, we got the Lightforge shoulders again. And Dreadmist Robes dropped once when I wasn't there. >:

Hey Carnivore, in MC does the group your with find better use out of a split mix of Protection/Holy spec paladin or someone geared out with BoK? Only reason I ask is I've been thinking about switching my spec to Holy/Protec/Ret......retribution with SoC.

I've got 31 points in Ret all the way to BoK and 15 in Holy with Devine Favor.

I decided to explore Stormwind. Run by slashing of any allies I spotted in the red. I believe it is very annoying when a Tiger claws your face when you are in the middle of creating something. I got zero kills while doing this, but I also never died.

The Dark Portal is in the SE corner of the Blasted Lands, surrounded by level 61 elite demons that hit you for 2000 damage per swing. :(

I had to corpse drag myself to get right up to it, but you can see it from a safe distance. Currently, it goes no where, but I think the expansion will have something to do with it. Blizzard said long ago that they were going to have an event that would require lots of level 60 warlocks to go to the portal and open it before anyone from the realm could go through. :eek

We tried Molten Core with a bunch of other guilds last night. We made it up to Lucifron, which is pretty good considering we were pretty disorganized with so many people being in MC for the first time. We only had 34 people for most of the run, as well.

Lucifron kicked our ass, though. Three attempts and then we were all too tired to play anymore.

I went to MC today too and we made it to Magmadar. We wiped on one of the Core Hound Pack respawns because our group couldn't figure out who wanted this Dagger Drop off of Lucifron.

We wiped on Mag the first try because he kept fearing everyone into the fire, but the second go round was a clean kill. He dropped some plate leggings that I didn't have enough DKP points for.

So I PvP'd myself into a coma!

I've used my shield hearth before when I was farming in Swamp of Sorrows and I was about to get steamrolled by 5 horde. I've also used it for comedic purposes like Shield Hearthing from a duel outside of IF, only to run back outside and give all the warriors BoW!

My opinions on Burning Crusade, which are better than all of yours :posh

I think the Blood Elves will rock, although their affiliation with the Horde is as flimsy as the Forsaken's.

The raising of the level cap needs to be accompanied by superb talents and abilities to make it more than merely level 60 with better stats.

I'm very much looking forward to Outland. Knowing that the five heroes from WC2 Expansion are there makes me totally pumped. I loved the character of Alleria. She was the first sexy elf and she's feisty! I also think she's Sylvanas' sister, which could be most interesting!

I want access to Quel'Thalas, Gilneas, Hyjal, and those other regions of Azeroth that are forbidden at this time.

I can't even guess the new Alliance race. Dranei keeps being mentioned. It makes sense, but I can't see them appealing to players much. They look like lumps of crap.

As for an update on my main, I'm half done with my Lawbringer set. With so much going on in my guild, I haven't had a spare moment for Malevolent on Laughing Skull. I may just have to delete him, especially now that I know people dump Mockery guild when they turn 60 to raid MC and such. Its gonna be Draeni. If you look at the artwork for the expansion there are pictures of Draeni huts on outland and dark sinister looking cities on outland obviously not afilliated with the blood elves. The Draeni would be the ugly race for the alliance to match the blood elves being the pretty race for the horde.

Yeah, I didn't want to leave originally and I asked around a lot about potential alliances. There were a few guilds that looked like it might be possible to get something going, but before anything happened they merged into bigger guilds.

It just wasn't possible to do anything when there were only one or two people online at a time (or the people that were on seemed to never get past level 30). Makatiel and I tried recruiting, but that sucked.

The guild we've moved to now is a good one, though, despite the fact that some of the people are from Texas. At least they don't like Bush. :O

I'd say go with Undead Priest, the groups love you in PvE and with a Shadow Priest you'll own in PvP

You can join us on Laughing Skull as Horde.

You're allowed to have up to 50 characters (maximum of 10 on a single server), as far as I know. They never delete your characters either. A PvP server can be frustrating at times when the little shits out there gank you endlessly, but in the end I think it's better because you can gank Alliance all you want when you're in the mood. :)

If you choose a pve server and choose to go Alliance, go with Elune and look for Thorandor.

I think my right-hand man actually started a Horde version of our guild. Do a /who on Lords of Stormwind for Alliance and Lords of Orgrimmar for Horde.

after spending approximately 4 hours fucking around with my account verification, sending blizzard bitchy e-mails, and taking a break with "tetsuo: iron man" and some chink food i finally realized that i had my daddy's credit-card (shiiit, i ain't signing up for one of those things) number wrong.
so i just got on long enough to download the latest update and login to make sure it worked before hitting the sack. i'll be on throughout today, probably trying out a few different characters.
i plan on doing PVP, but i may do PVE at some point. or perhaps my girlfriend will if i don't. either way, we'll look for you, carnivore!

edit: made a mod of sorts, which changes all the warlock pets:

imp: mini diablo
voidwalker: the beast (a bit smaller :P)
succubus: banshee
felhound: mini zergling

the mini diablo works quite well as an imp, as its got attacking animations and such

Oh man, my brother's Rogue was in a UBRS PuG and the finkle skinner dropped. All the other rogue's besides one had it and they asked who was a lvl 300 skinner, my Brother replies that he is and so does the other Rogue. So they roll for it and the other Rogue got the knife, where the group tells him to skin it. The rogue is clearly not a skinner and just wanted the knife probably not knowing that it could be used to shave the skin fron the dog.

So one of the other rogues has the skinner and skins it for my brother, where what drops? Pristine Hide of the Beast! They decided to roll on it since it was such a badass drop, and my Brother rolled a 100 FTW and tipped the skinner 50g.

He made a Breastplate of Bloodthirst with it.

Debuffs aren't as big a deal anymore with 16 debuff slots on everything now. The UI still only shows 8, though. It was always annoying when my Curse of Doom would get shoved off by someone's 3 dps bleed effect.

It's pretty good stuff for raid's. I find it most usefull in MC when there are multiple targets for multiple tanks, especially on the Core Hound Packs because you need to burn them down within 10 seconds of eachother or they will start respawning. It can be used for all sorts of other good stuff.

Silithus has some decent rewards once you start gaining faction and killing the Dukes.

Trying to fight monsters more than 4 levels higher than you is usually a bad idea since they resist everything you toss at them. There's also a "crushing blow" thing that high level monsters can do to low level players which is like triple damage or something. :(

Linked AH's are going to be the best thing added in a long time. No more spending 10 minutes flying to Gadgetzan to check the neutral AH when it's a 2 minute flight to Everlook! Plus I can actually set my hearth to UC if I need to in order to speed up getting ready for raids.

I heard that the auction houses *used* to be linked in beta (you can still find the old auction house in Stormwind) and you can ask guards in the other cities where the AH is (the taurens currently tell you that they got rid of their AH because it caused too much pollution or something). Apparently this caused a lot of server problems long ago, so it looks like they finally fixed the problem.

The new Silithus stuff should be interesting, too. Each server will have to work towards opening the instances in a big world event. It's supposed to take cooperation between Horde and Alliance to get it done.

Damn this game

I finally quit for the last time a few months ago, and haven't looked back until now. Every day I get a small inkling to buy another month and play to my heart's content, but I tell myself it's wrong. Today I found myself listening to the elwynn and stormwind soundtracks, my two favorite places in the game, maybe going to redridge to kill some gnolls, and I got this tight feeling in my chest, thinking of being low level with my rogue and being in those two zones... Like a first love I still have feelings for it but I have to let it go

A Nerd's Lament

I wish they're re-release this in the diablo II style the way you could make your own games of 6 people... but the problem is, I love the big community feel of the MMO, but it seems like lots of people are getting bored with it... I wish someone could remove all the raidz0r and item farming and enchant spammers and long walks and monthly fees so i could play again.

The saddest thing is that I have a wonderful, fulfilling fun life with two of the greatest friends I could ask for and I still feel empty a little without a stupid game

We didn't kill Rag twice. Those are two pictures from the same night.

There is a gap between those who could take Rag in a straight fight (me with 176 unbuffed fire resist and improving) and our newer raid group members who still have green equipment (some of them), so we used a bunch of potions and other buffs to close the gap. With our "juiced" attempt, we killed him with greater ease than I anticipated. Maybe five or six deaths.

I'm really liking this RP server. I don't talk in medieval English or create a backstory for my character, surprisingly most people don't, but there's less enchant spamming in IF, leet speak, and the things that generally annoy me about other players.

It's nice because the inns are a big gathering place to drink, hang out and talk, rather than just running in there to fall asleep.

Killed Rag for the third week in a row. We clear everything up to Executus on Sunday night now and finish Majordomo and Rag off on Monday night. We're doing two Rag attempts per night. The first is with no pots, no UBRS fire resist buffs. We got Rag to 10% with that tonight. The second is with the aforementioned "cheats" and we just own him without difficulty that way. I can smell BWL in our future! I myself am one Lawbringer Belt away from having all tier 1 or better armor. The only things I really need are some epic weapons. I'm lacking in that department, although a pally in MC doesn't really need to worry about DPS too much :/
