The Mockery Guild is dead.

Chimp is part of Testament. A one time (perhaps no longer) anal guild full of assholes. But I guess they left.

I want to make Chimp feel badly, so I'll give an account of my WoW happenings :gigh

My guild is large enough to run guild-only 20-man raids and our raid alliance has been rejecting new applicants in droves because we just don't have room.

We've had BWL on farm for coming up on two months now. I've been sitting at 7/8 Judgement and just waiting for a belt that is seemingly never going to drop :/

We're four bosses deep in AQ. Although I'd rather skip it and go to Naxx, I'm outvoted among the raid leadership.

Perhaps I'll toss some screens up later.

I can toss you an invite to Mockery, Hickman, but if you want to be in a guild that actually does stuff, you'll probably want to look elsewhere. There's a lot of good lowbie guilds.

We're still anal in Testament, but only because we want to get shit done so that we can go do the other fun things. The new leadership is much nicer about it, although we did gkick a guy last night for constantly spamming guild chat. Then a couple of his friends left, but I had never heard of them anyways.

Congratulations on the AQ40 progress, Carni! We should be starting in there some time this week. Skeram should be dead easy... with the old guild structure full of assholes, we had him down to 25% with only 31 people in the raid. Now we have over 200 people in the guild and 20-man waitlists to get into MC/BWL, so we can afford to be picky with who we invite and stack the raid for success :conspiracy

Last night we started BWL, expecting to only get up to Broodlord before calling it and going back later in the week. As it turns out, we one-shotted each boss all the way up to Chromaggus (for the first time ever) with only one wipe at the start of the suppression rooms.

Got myself one of these last night, too: http://www.thottbot.com/?i=44692 :)

From what I've read, if you guys can farm BWL, you should be able to take down the first handful of bosses in Naxx. I don't think AQ is worth skipping, though. I want to farm some rep in there so I can get the epic cooking recipe!

Oh for Christ's sake, don't tell me we're going to have to put up with a bunch of pussy whiny babies here, too, over the Blood Elf Paladins and the Draenei Shamans. Here's a clue for you: It MAKES SENSE!

The Draenei were friendly with the Orcs before they went crazy, and the Orcs were predominantly Shamanistic. There we go.

As for the Blood Elf paladins, think of this: Being a paladin is a source of magic. Blood Elves are ADDICTED to magic. Blood Elves were ALSO once members of the Alliance. Would a race that is totally addicted to magic suddenly abandon one of their sources of the stuff just because they switched sides? No, they wouldn't.

Stop whining.

Any originality each faction has will soon be gone. Working around not having that one class made raids far more interesting. If anything, they should've added a new faction-only class to each side.

Immortal Goat
Jul 23rd, 2006, 11:16 AM
No originality? Hell, racial abilities alone make the factions different enough make raids interesting.

Would I have liked to see 2 new classes? You bet your ass I would. Still, BC isn't going to be the only expansion they release, and I'm willing to bet that they're planning something big for the next one.

And I hope that you, Carnivore, aren't one of those Lore fags whining about how it messes with the story, because that would be sad.

That's 8/8 Judgement, bitches. Lift up my skirt and :blowme

I do enjoy WarCraft lore. There are very few things within it that I consider sacred. I do get pissed when stuff gets rewritten. For example, compare http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/story/chapter1.html#2 to http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/burningcrusade/townhall/draenei.html and tell me that's not inconsistent.

The backstories for the Blood Elf paladins and Draenei shamans don't fall under this category, however. They're fine.

Racial abilities provide little, if any, variety. What I'd love to see more than anything is one unique class for every race. Having all classes available to both Horde and Alliance removes any real distinction between the two sides. Now players will only need to consider esthetics when choosing between Horde or Alliance.

The thing is, though, there's a lot of people that already DO only choose sides because of aesthetics. Since the vast majority of the classes up until now were the same, I would say that MOST choose sides due to aesthetics. I chose a Night Elf druid simply because I like elves. My brother chose a Tauren because they don't sound like pansies like the Night Elves do (in his opinion).

Aesthetics already play a big part in character selection, so this won't change much at all.

I do have to agree with you about having liked to see two new classes, but this isn't the "game killer" that a lot of people claim it is.

DeadKennedys
Jul 24th, 2006, 01:42 AM
A unique class would really add some variety. I think it's a bad idea to add a shaman to alliance and whatever to the horde.

Spellbreakers would be an awesome class. A primarily fighter class with the ability to burn opponents mana, silence them, and steal their spells and buffs. Could hold its own in melee no doubt, but no ranged weapons cause of the big shield

Carnivore
Jul 24th, 2006, 02:33 PM
Definitely not a game killer. Hell, I might even level a shaman. The decision is made and I'm not going to be a whiny bitch about. I just think they could've done better, that's all.

DamnthatDavid
Jul 24th, 2006, 06:43 PM
Personally, I agree with Carni on the whole race class type, but that would be bloody hard to pull off. So why not just modify it for the entire alliance/horde conflict. But give them the option of going "Hero" class. Make it easy to get, but explain that it takes more skill, and more time to use. Levels 64-70 would be the hero exp levels (if you choose) and you level 6x slower.

Horde War: Blademaster
Alliance War: Knight

Horde Warlock: Necromancer
Alliance Warlock: Whatever

Horde Pally: Spellbreaker or Deathknight
Alliance Pally: Champion
etc. etc.

And finally give those blasted Druids the ability to turn into birds. Let them get the bonus of not having to purchase a flying mount.

The first end game Horde guilds to have level 60 paladins (and Alliance guilds with level 60 shamans) will be at a huge advantage for raiding. There are so many encounters where having just one of the other class helps a lot.

I might even level a paladin. I'll make a hot BE chick and call her Frasskette. ;)

Thanks! :)

We were having problems with the same loot dropping over and over again. In MC, all we were getting was Felheart/Cenarion over and over again with some Nightslayer thrown in. BWL kept dropping the same stuff, too.

We decided to change the person who starts the raids each week, and the loot we get is completely different now. Seeing some completely new drops and a lot more loot. I started last week's MC raid and set a guild record with 12 BoE's and over 20 cores.

I know Blizzard has said that the loot table has nothing to do with the raid leader, but the fact that we went for weeks with the same loot, and then suddenly get different loot the week we change raid leader seems to be more than a coincidence! You should try rotating the leader and the master looter, just to see what happens.

Regarding hero classes, I think Blizzard already stated that they've abandoned that idea in favour of giving each class a few really good crazy 70 abilities.

This was posted on our guild board as rumor, but I have a big ole wall of text regarding hero classes, that I honestly hope is nothing more than a rumor.

as quoted from a buddies site...

Sources inside Blizz have revealed their plans for hero classes. Blizzard does plan to release hero classes with the expansion, but they haven't explicitly stated it because they want to announce it close to the release date, insuring a huge amount of hype. I haven't been told much more than the basics, but I'll try to explain the system as best as I can:

At any given level there is a certain amount of content; at level 60, the amount of content is very disproportionate with the available content for other levels. The reason is obvious: it is the current endgame, and players need something to enjoy. However, with the level cap raised players would be able to blow through and skip a lot of the content that has been developed over the past year, and allowing players to do so would be a poor use of the developers' time. This is where hero classes come in.

You will be stuck at level 60, just like you are now, even when the expansion comes out. An epic quest (of REALLY epic proportions) for each hero class will be made available to level 60 players. The only way to break the level 60 barrier will be to go on one of these quests to become a hero class. The quest will require the player to do a lot of solo content as well as a variety of group and raid content. Upon completion of the quest, the player will become a level 61 hero class . They can then once again begin their normal level progression. A hero class is not innately more powerful than a normal class (but the level differentiation makes them more powerful of course). Hero classes will be available to everyone and although the hardcore players will naturally get their hero classes first, it is designed so that players of all play styles will be able to become a hero class in a reasonable amount of time. Blizzard's implementation of hero classes will accomplish a lot of things. It will create a natural barrier at level 60 that will insure that the average player will experience more of the content Blizz has developed, it gives players a way of further differentiating themselves, and it adds a huge amount of new dynamics between different classes.

Each race/class combination will have 2 hero classes available to them (with several overlapping). This presents a monumental balance job (there are about 50 hero classes), which is probably another reason why Blizzard is delaying the information release. Choosing your hero class will be irreversible, much like the tradeskill masteries. Some hero classes are an extension of the "father" class, some have tweaked mechanics, while others are radically different. The easiest example I can think of is a Night Elf priest, for which the 2 hero classes are a Priest(ess) of the Moon (a continuation of the priest's current form) and Demon Hunter (an agility-based combat hero with a variety of discipline-esque abilities).

So without further ado, here is a brief overview of some of the hero classes:

Druids

Night Elf Druid
Arch Druid: This will be a hybrid class in the same vein as its "father" class, and Storm Crow form may make a reappearance.

Keeper of the Grove: The druid will sacrifice some of his shapeshifting abilities in exchange for improved healing and casting, and will even be able to command treants on occasion.

Tauren Druid
Arch Druid: see above

Elder: This is essentially a druid that has lost some shapeshifting abilities and gained some beast-like abilities similar to the hunter. The casting and healing abilities are also amped up, but not nearly as much as the Keeper of the Grove. The Elder also has a bit of the Diablo II druid mixed in for good measure.
Hunters

Night Elf Hunter
Ranger: The Ranger is sort of a hunter/rogue mix. The Ranger will use the energy bar, will have a few stealthy abilities (but not of the same caliber as the rogue), and will no longer have a pet.

Beastmaster: The Beastmaster focuses more on the beast aspect than the ranged aspect of the hunter. He gains new beast abilities, such as switching pets in battle, and is a bit meaner in melee combat in exchange for a lot of his ranged hitting power.

Dwarf Hunter:
Mountaineer: The Mountaineer is similar to the ranger (no pet, energy bar), but without the stealth aspects. The Mountaineer is hardier in melee combat than the hunter and and also has more extensive tracking and detection abilities.

Beastmaster: see above

Orc Hunter:
Outrider: The Outrider is very similar to the wolfrider from Warcraft III, focusing on swift maneuvers and incapacitating enemies. He uses the energy bar.

Beastmaster: see above

Tauren Hunter:
Tracker: The Tracker uses the energy bar like the Mountaineer, but still retains the hunter pet, and as a result is not as tough as the Mountaineer.

Beastmaster: see above

Troll Hunter:
Shadowhunter: This is essentially a hunter that drops some of it's beast and survival abilities for some shadow spells (think Hex). The Shadowhunter still uses mana.

Headhunter: The Headhunter still has the ranged emphasis of the hunter, but it focuses on throwing weapons (a massive revamp for throwing weapons is planned). The Headhunter uses energy, has more combat abilities, and drops the pet.
Mages

Human Mage:
Archmage: The Archmage is an exact extension of the mage class, with arcane, fire, and frost spells. Apparently one of the abilities being toyed around with is Summon Water Elemental. The planned incarnation of the spell will be a long-cooldown summon that will not function like a normal pet, and will instead function more along the lines of the Mechanical Yeti (no player control).

Necromancer: The only similarity between the Necromancer and the mage is the emphasis on magical damage. The necromancer uses shadow damage and has a major focus on pets, similar to the warlock. However, unlike other pet classes, the majority of the Necromancer's damage will come from the pet instead of the Necromancer. I do not know if the Necromancer will be able to have multiple pets out at once.

Gnome Mage:
Archmage: see above

Arcanist: The Arcanist is similar to the mage, with a focus on arcane magic. The Arcanist does slightly less damage than the Archmage, but gains added utility and new support spells.

Undead Mage:
Archmage: see above

Necromancer: see above

Troll Mage:
Hydromancer: The Hydromancer is similar to the Arcanist, but with a focus on the frost tree. The Hydromancer may also receive the Summon Water Elemental spell. In addition to added utility and support spells, the Hydromancer will also get some limited healing abilities.

Shadowcaster: The Shadowcaster is essentially a mage that uses shadow magic instead of fire and frost.
Paladins

Human Paladin:
Templar: The Templar is the holy warrior that so many paladins wanted their class to be. The Templar has limited healing, but receives a slew of new combat abilities, making the Templar much better at tanking and melee damage than the paladin.

Cleric: The Cleric is the other side of the paladin spectrum. Instead gaining new combat abilities, the Cleric gains improved healing, more utility and support, and some holy damage spells.

Dwarf Paladin:
Templar: see above

Cleric: see above
Priests

Human Priest:
High Priest: The High Priest is essentially a priest that drops the shadow tree, but gains new damage spells from holy and discipline. The High Priest will be the most powerful healer in the game.

Spellbreaker: The Spellbreaker wears mail, has several combat abilities and diminished healing, and has several anti-caster abilities.

Dwarf Priest:
Thane: The Thane is basically a priest in mail, with a slight hit to healing abilities but a few new combat abilities.

Runelord: The Runelord is similar to the High Priest, although not as healing heavy.

Night Elf Priest:
Priest of the Moon: The Priest of the Moon is similar to the High Priest as well, but has some extra damage and utility spells coming from arcane and nature magics.

Demon Hunter: The Demon Hunter is radically different in playstyle from the priest. The Demon Hunter is a mana-using melee damage hero class. The Demon Hunter has a mix of discipline spells and combat abilities with some shadow spells mixed in.

Undead Priest:
High Priest: see above

Shadow Priest: The name is pretty self-explanatory. The Shadow Priest does not have all the healing abilities of the High Priest, but makes several gains in the damage, utility, and crowd control departments.

Troll Priest:
Shadow Priest: see above

?:
Rogues

Gnome Rogue:
Assassin: The Assassin is an extension of the rogue with damage, stealth, poisons, and martial arts.

Scout: The Scout has slightly less damage than the Assassin, but is tougher in combat, and has the ability to use traps among other new utilities.

Human Rogue:
Assassin: see above

Scout: see above

Dwarf Rogue:
Assassin: see above

Pitfighter: The Pitfighter is a rogue without stealth, but with improved combat and defensive abilities.

Night Elf Rogue:
Assassin: see above

Scout: see above

Orc Rogue:
Assassin: see above

Pitfighter: see above

Undead Rogue:
Assassin: see above

Scout: see above

Troll Rogue:
Assassin: see above

Scout: see above
Shamans

Orc Shaman:
Farseer: The Farseer has more emphasis on healing and casting than the shaman, and as a result has less combat ability. The Farseer doesn't use totems but gains it utility from other abilities. Feral Spirit might make an appearance using a system similar to the Water Elemental.

Spirit Walker: The Spirit Walker is a more direct extension of the shaman than the Farseer, maintaining a rough balance of combat, casting, and healing ability.

Tauren Shaman:
Farseer: see above

Spirit Walker: see above

Troll Shaman:
Witch Doctor: The Witch Doctor is similar to the Farseer, but has a heavy emphasis on totems. In addition to the elemental magics the Witch Doctor also uses some shadow magic.

Spirit Walker: see above
Warlocks

Human Warlock:
Master Warlock: The Master Warlock is an extension of the warlock class, keeping the pet and the vast majority of the warlock mechanics.

Shadowguard: The Shadowguard has more melee emphasis than the warlock, and loses the demonic pet. The Shadowguard on his own is weaker than other melee classes, but is aided by demonic-type abilities (such as burning blood and fiery breath) to power himself up.

Gnome Warlock:
Master Warlock: see above

Shadowguard: see above

Orc Warlock:
Master Warlock: see above

Shadowguard: see above

Undead Warlock:
Master Warlock: see above

Shadowguard: see above
Warriors

Blizz hasn't fleshed out warrior hero classes as much as the others, so I wasn't able to get much on them. However, it has been confirmed that Orc warriors do have the option to become a Blademaster!

Question marks (?) denote a hero class that hasn't been decided on by the developers yet. I don't know the Blood Elf hero classes. I don't know the new Alliance race (although I hear they're going to reveal it soon). I have no idea how talent/abilities are going to work, I don't know what will happen to armor requirements and class specific sets, etc. Everything I know I've posted here, and it is subject to change as it is still in fairly early development stages.

See, I like the idea of being able to switch talent specs and a little gear and completely change my class role, and this will screw with that pretty hardcore.

I think that is a fabrication. Blizzard is still working on more pet things for hunters. Half of the hunter hero classes lose the pet.

If they go hero classes, I still think they will go down the talent tree you have the most points in, and just add more racial abilites that you can learn. (limited ammount, like 10 new for each race. Select only 6, etc etc)

We've made some pretty crazy progress. We've wiped on Sartura for two weeks, and went in on Sunday and one-shot her, then made three attempts on Fankriss before he went down (it was messy, but next week there will be improvements).

The guild's getting pretty popular now. We have like 4-5 applications per day and need to add people to our ignore lists. Stupid thing is it's all rogues and warriors, which we're completely full on.

We'll be making Huhu attempts this week, most likely. I gotta get my SR up, because I think we'll be using the warlock tanking strategy to start with. :eek

Half of that stuff sounded gay as hell to me, and later on someone pointed out that the same rumor had been around for months and months, so I think it's just some fan-boy posting his idea as though it were smuggled out of Blizzard's dev office.

But you reminded me of something fun we used to do in DAoC when our caster group ran into someone in a PvP area who just had no business being in the PvP area (in WoW terms, think: a level 40 running around solo in WPL). Someone would call out "staff beatdown!" over teamspeak, and then we would procede to pummel the opponent to death.

Ha! I doubt you could dish out the 7000 damage it takes to kill me in three minutes, never mind 30 seconds. :P

The BGs were going crazy last night. It only took me a couple seconds to get into an AV... Horde was just about to win when the server crashed. Alliance was stupid, though, since they were in the process of pulling our commander when we just started killing the marshals in the Alliance base. They all hearthed back to protect their guy. :/

I think the organized vs. unorganized gap is going to get even bigger now. I've seen messy AVs, but that one was the worst. Everyone was just running around doing their own thing. Any kind of organized offense or defense could have poked holes through the other line. Hopefully it settles down a bit.

I'm looking forward to raking in the free HKs, though. All the noobs from the PvE servers are really, really bad at PvP, despite the gear. I killed a warrior 1v1 in what looked like nearly full Dreadnaught and he barely even touched me. Loads of mages who still use the "run in and arcane explosion once before you die" tactic.

All of the instances on Laughing Skull were broken last night, so raiding was out of the question. We claimed the EPL towers for about 30 minutes yesterday before deciding that sucked, so we killed the stupid Elf Queen. >:

DPS warriors are actually pretty valuable for a lot of things in BWL and AQ40 because they can dish out the damage and still survive for a while if they pull aggro. A smart DPS warrior will always stay underneath the MT in threat, though, so that shouldn't happen.

As for roll hacks, the rolls are generated and handled by the server so it's impossible to hack them. I'd say he's a shitty rogue for taking a tanking sword, and you should probably find a guild that doesn't use gayness like rolling on loot.

Bwahahahaha!

At least y'all have more time to grind, run aimlessly, collect basilisk urethrae, rethink your talent tree, crunch numbers, and raid weeknights with your "friends" before the expansion finally drops. Enjoy!

I guess I'm so bitter toward this game for a few reasons. At first, the game was relatively simple, but as it was expanded, there were more high-end grinding quests, and raiding, and all that junk. That left the casual gamer in the dust, because if he didn't wanna commit 20 hours a week (or certainly more), he had shit for items and the whole world shrunk. Half of the game, the raiding community, pushed the game into an odd tangent. All those voices (speaking in their self created language) with too much spare time cried out for more "end-game" material, without realizing the end-game is a huge time and money sink. pressuring players into insane collection quests to slaver your thirst for those epic items in those epic dungeons, keeping your asses in your chairs and your eyes off your wallets. Meanwhile, the casual gamer is left with a confused "What happened?" And don't even get me started on gold farmers.

I played pretty consistently since release day, and as I brought my human rogue up to level 40, everything was pretty and shiny and a hell of a good time. To really progress past that I had to start hard raiding, and I realized I was wasting hours I coulda been eating, practicing something with real-world value, spending time with friends, or jerking off, I was spending hours working for 0's and 1's with pretty pictures over them. Pretty depressing.

And what's with the universal hardcore gamer model mantra, "work now, fun later?"

I'm also bitter because due to the success of WoW, Vivendi is forcing Blizzard to make, what is it, two more MMO's? I call bullshit.

Dire Flamingo

Fucking Vivendi... They have Diablo and Starcraft as a base.
SCI-FI series do NOT make good MMORPG, and diablo doesn't have the charachter background. It would just be WoW by another name.

Diablo could me mitigated to a world like the Elder Scrolls style of gaming. But still have the network for group advancement via battlenet.

Starcraft could be crafted into a Plantside style MMOFPS with the 3 sides, but I have no clue how someone would play the Zerg forces. maybe leveling up you can increase a mutation rate and grow new... spikes?

A Starcraft MMO would suck balls. The mechanics of it just wouldn't work.

And DeadKennedys, you aren't making yourself look good by saying you only got up to level 40 and then the game got "too hard." Warcraft is probably the easiest and most forgiving MMO that's ever been made. Raiding at level 40? Yeah, maybe in a party of 5 people to do a dungeon in a couple hours.

If you want a game with tons of solo content, you shouldn't be playing an MMO. Period.

DeadKennedys
Oct 31st, 2006, 10:56 AM
I wouldn't say the game got hard at all. It really doesn't require skill in the first place, so it c an't really become difficult, can it?

I'm saying that the end game ramps up not in challenge but in how much time you're willing to devote, forcing you to join hardcore alienating guilds.

At the beginning you could have small, friendly guilds, hang out, and do a few quests with your buds. Now they aren't making more casual (not solo) stuff to do.

Maybe now that they're cutting down the size requirement on dungeons it'll be a little better

End-game-raiding-guilds can suck my cock.

I played several hours most weeknights and God knows how many hours the last two weekends and I can tell I won't be able to "compete" with those cocksuckers unless I keep this routine up indefinitely.

Shit, I better not go home for the holidays. Better not spend a weekend doing anything but playing WoW. Need them DKPs to compete!!!

Actually though, I think I can play this game on my own terms, and "compete" with end-game raider faggots just fine. The expansion is going to obsolesce every thing in game right now, and if you don't believe that, then you don't know shit about MMOs.

I greatly enjoy playing this game with a group of RL connected friends who don't take this shit too seriously, and I will laugh my ass off at any loser who thinks his life is more complete because his character in a game has purple armor.

Typical casual player talk, making big claims about how the expansion is going to be the magic bullet which evens the playing field for everyone. If you don't understand that in every single MMO, the people who play the most get the most, it's you that are deluding yourself.

Raiders won't have to worry about who gets what because they'll just keep running the instance until them and all of their friends have everything they want... meanwhile, the casuals will run it once, claim it's too hard or get bored or whatever, and in a month or two, they will be spamming General chat crying about not being able to find a group.

You're looking at the mechanics of the game, but those are such a small part of the equation, you can ignore it completely. More time spent = stronger character.

Typical casual player talk,

I'm sorry I don't meet your "professional player" standards. Faggot.

making big claims about how the expansion is going to be the magic bullet which evens the playing field for everyone.

I never said that, or even meant to imply it, but now that you mention it, reduced size instances will make it easier for smaller guilds to compete with larger guilds. A casual-friendly guild with a core of on-every-night no-life gamers will be able to get much further than previously possible. Don't you look forward to 10-manning Ony at level 70?

If you don't understand that in every single MMO, the people who play the most get the most, it's you that are deluding yourself.

I dunno. If a raiding priest plays 20+ hours a week, gets every piece of gear he wants, then quits the game cuz the demands of his guild were "too stressful" I think he actually got less than the guy who doesn't play as often, but still enjoys the game. That's totally just my opinon though.

You're looking at the mechanics of the game, but those are such a small part of the equation, you can ignore it completely. More time spent = stronger character.

That's generally true, but there are so many different directions you can go in this game that more time spent = more time wasted if you don't have a clear goal.

Especially when every bit of new content added will obsolesce whatever goal you previously had and alienate the folks who were still working toward that goal. Of course, successful MMOs pander to their userbase quite a bit, so those old, hard-fought goals will become much easier to achieve with the abilities granted by the new content, even while a new bar is set in the new content. MMOs are incredibly gay like that. They can be quite fun in moderation, but the people who take them as seriously or more seriously than other aspects of their lives have a problem.

True, the only end game guilds that kept me on where the ones that Chimp was in, but due to not having "fire spec" or a high enough DPS, or a working mic, i found myself excluded from raids.

But I also feel the accomplishment when you are totally decked out in cool armor. That anyone lower level then you runs in fear. I had found last spring, before I canceled my account, the joys of a well used Shaman, and the ability to kill levels higher then you.

We've got some reduced numbers, but mostly we're still raiding regularly. We're not doing anything this week, though, on account of 3/4 of the guild spending time with family over the holidays.

It's pretty retarded to think that your gear is going to become obsolete the instant the expansion hits. The people I've talked to in the beta right now say that if you won't be replacing T2+ items until around level 65-67, and if you've got some T3 pieces, you won't find anything that's significantly better until level 70.

More gear now helps with the grind later!

WOW has without a doubt the most faggoty armor designs of any game ever. The only good ones are those white priest robes with the hood and the one thing with the skulls and spikes. The rest of them look like something some 12 year old DBZ fan would draw.

well, with the expansion only about two months away, most of the people in my guild have stopped raiding entirely for fear of their gear becoming obsolete. so what the fuck am I supposed to do?

start saving up your gold for the flying mounts. they're gonna cost 1000g for the normal ones and 4000g for the fast ones.

also, like chimp said, any gear you can upgrade now will just make things that much easier when the expansion hits.

They haven't changed the currency. Gold right now is still gold in the expansion :/

Saving up that much gold is going to take a bit of time, but it's really easy.

Actually, they say there's a little window you can shoot through which will bug the guards since they can never reach you, and then the goofball can be pulled away from the generals and be fought in the big room outside.

I guess that's possible for us, except they don't have windows and that room is small as hell. That cleave hurts.

AChimp
Jan 11th, 2007, 11:29 PM
Laughing Skull is pretty far behind in PvE, despite it being one of the original realms. Only one Alliance guild has downed 4H and beyond.

One Horde guild can clear up to them, but has never downed them. My guild downed Twin Emps and made it 3 bosses into Naxx. There were three guilds ahead of us on Horde side.

We rock all of the other servers in PvP though. ;D

Your friend's a liar unless he lives in Europe. Blizzard already acknowleged that the first 70 in North America was done in 40 hours straight of pure grinding. The guy in Europe who hit 70 on the first day had 10 people following him around killing stuff after he tagged it. Basically he just hit stuff once so he could get the XP and everyone else killed it for him.
