Witnesses said a motorcyclist placed a device on an embassy car in Delhi, causing a blast that hurt four people - one seriously. A bomb underneath a diplomat's car in Tbilisi was defused.
"Iran is behind these attacks and it is the largest terror exporter in the world," [Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu] said.
But Iranian officials denied the claims as "sheer lies".
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, my first thought is that a war with Iran is now a little more likely, as I had previously thought that there was no way it would occur. My second thought is that even though the Iranian government is probably not to be trusted, why would anyone believe anything the Israeli government said, ever?
In fact, I think they are more likely to be responsible for this themselves than the Iranians, as they have a track record when it comes to car bomb assassination as well as false flag attacks

An Iranian university professor working at a key nuclear facility has been killed in a bomb explosion, the latest in a series of assassinations and attempted killings linked by the country's authorities to a secret war by Israel...
Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, 32, a chemistry expert and a director of the Natanz uranium enrichment plant in central Iran, died after two assailants on a motorcycle attached magnetic bombs to his car, according to the semi-official Fars news agency.
Israeli officials have previously hinted about covert campaigns against Iran without directly admitting involvement.

Iran Bomb Blast Kills Nuclear Scientist Majid Shahriari In Tehran.
The two bomb attacks occurred when assailants on motorcycles attached magnetized bombs to the cars of two nuclear scientists as they drove to work in separate parts of the capital Monday morning. They detonated seconds later, killing one scientist, wounding another and wounding each of their wives, who were in the cars, Tehran's police chief said.

Let's also not forget the Lavon Affair (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lavon_Affair), which is a good example of why Israel is not to be trusted, and also shows that they are willing to target their supposed allies for political gain, and not feel any remorse.
In summary; I would be very surprised if Israel was in fact not responsible for this most recent attack in India and Georgia.

Somebody explain to me how American soldiers, in 2012, can accidentally burn the Quran?
Evil Robot II
Feb 26th, 2012, 02:43 AM
They weren't Americans they were "nato" which means nothing to afghans who believe wiping their ass with their bare hand is sanitary as long as you eat with the other hand. It should also be noted that the pages weren't burned they were ABOUT to be burned before they were discovered by the afghans who were handling the trash.
Evil Robot II
Feb 26th, 2012, 02:47 AM
It should also be noted that the people responsible for this are the prisoners who tore pages out of the books and wrote all over them in the first place.

I think i know you in real life and you used to say "kike" a lot.
Regardless of what the underlying cause of the riots are the simple fact is that some common fucking sense would be helpful on our part. Simply comprehending the people and belief systems in play would make it a lot easier to get this shit the fuck over.
Evil Robot II
Feb 26th, 2012, 04:53 PM
So your saying nobody in NATO understood that this would be bad? I think they are rioting because they like rioting and smashing things and throwing grenades and fighting is fun for them. I understand that without somebody to blame for their plight (they do have a plight, right?) they would have nobody to blame but themselves for the fact that they reject any attempt at development.
There are many companies that would love to set up shop there but the main reason they don't is because of "instability" (ie. they are afraid of their employees getting killed).
Then the afghans get upset that there is no development or jobs or money coming into the country and blame the people who are afraid of them.
Evil Robot II
Feb 26th, 2012, 05:04 PM

I honestly have very little sympathy for religious types at the moment. It's just a god damn book, and it's painfully obvious that almost burning a copy of a text that you really like is not only a poor excuse for a deadly riot, but it's just an excuse.

Yes, this is real, although the specifics are a little misleading.
Even though the assault was caught on video, the judge ruled it inadmissable (too grainy to be definitive), dismissed the assault charge (basically he said, he said without the video) and then lectured the plaintiff on religious tolerance.

If You guys still give a crap about the insurance and birth control, here it is. The Government is saying that if you employ anyone, you must provide a minimum amount of health coverage to you're employees. Companies looking to cover their employees will find that any basic health plan will cover things like vaccinations and the simple more common birth control (pills). Catholics and other religious types seam to think by simply providing coverage they are being forced to provide birth control which is against their religion. So they bitch that their freedom of religion is being infringed upon to try and get out of paying for coverage.
I personally feel if were half as good as they claim, they would just pay for it and trust their faithful followers to not use it simply because they could.

He's a little behind Romney, but I don't think the party wants to back him because he's too upfront about the things they prefer to spring on people once they're in power (reigning in reproductive rights, carrying on about Christians being "persecuted," etc).
The main reason he and the rest hasn't been swept off the field is because Romney can't stop making himself sound like an out-of-touch rich guy.

Everybody knows that using a pink bowling ball (http://www.politico.com/blogs/burns-haberman/2012/03/santorum-the-antipink-bowling-ball-candidate-119027.html) automatically makes a guy a homo.

This was pretty horrible all around, both in the primaries and in the general election. There are many others from before the age of bloggers and CNN. Point is that electing a president is a nasty business, and good candidates are usually too smart to run.

so will anybody on this message board vote for obama? or will you vote for the other dude?
if the economy is doing better imight vote for him but i dunno i didn't vote for him the first timw because i thought his campaign speeches were stupid and I pretty much thought anybody who wanted to vote for him was stupid. Like hope for change. What does that mean. Why would i vote for somebody based on such an ambiguous statement.
also i think its stupid that he did this health care thing. How did Hilary Clinton disguise herself as Obama and win the election?
i wish that one fat guy would've ran who's name i think was something chris christy i dunno maybe. Anyway I don't know anything about what he believes in or anything but id prolly vote for him cause he was fat and happy looking.

kahljorn
Apr 3rd, 2012, 12:41 AM
doesn't popular vote determine who will win state by state?
popular vote just seems like it doesn't matter since they give votes based on senators/house of representatives and each state automatically receives a certain amount of them with some receiving states a small bonus for having so many people or for owning an entire continenet kind of like risk.
obviously things like this are important so that pro-slavery southerners can have a say in the government
Tadao
Apr 3rd, 2012, 11:30 AM
popular tells the representative which way the people would like him to vote, but he can vote any which way he wants. When it comes to the final count, I believe electorial vote trumps popular. At least that is what they teach in school. An example would be Bush V Gore. Gore had the popular vote, Bush had the electorial.
Colonel Flagg

The electoral college is anachronistic and needs a major overhaul. Maybe a weighted average or something, but it's stupid to elect a president without a majority of the popular vote.
Tadao
Apr 3rd, 2012, 03:31 PM
I'm sure there are reasons that the electoral vote is more important. Voter fraud would be my first guess. Of course now it's the other way around. I guess it doesn't really matter in the long run. Votes can be bought.

its the only way to give each of the states a somewhat equal say in the government, which pretty much all goes back to white slave owners being outpopulated by white northerners. Theoretically you could also argue it's because people are stupid, you don't want them controlling everything, and so they need a check and balance too.
also with that whole experiment of the states thing where each states can have its own laws more or less. If each state didn't have that level of representation, then its state-wide laws could too easily be negated at a federal level.
For example, everybody could vote against abortion and it would be illegal everywhere.

Apparently the temple and Sikh-owned businesses there have been hassled recently by rednecks mistaking them for Muslims, and this is apparently an extension of that.
kahljorn
Aug 5th, 2012, 01:49 PM
wow thats fucked up. but whoever wrote that article is a complete fucking moron:
Sunday's shooting is similar to an incident in March 2005 in Brookfield, when a gunman killed parishioners during a church service at the Sheraton Hotel in Brookfield (http://www.nytimes.com/2005/03/13/world/americas/13iht-shoot.html?_r=1) where the Living Church of God met regularly.
One of their own, long-time church member Terry Ratzmann, 44, of New Berlin, opened fire, killing himself and seven other people. Then-District Attorney Paul Bucher told the Associated Press in August 2005 that Ratzmann executed the pastor’s family and “then randomly opened up fire after that." (http://www.nytimes.com/2005/08/03/national/03rampage.html)
how is that similar to a hate crime done by somebody who's not a part of the church

Apparently the guy led a hate group called End Apathy. I can't imagine someone being so angry about the existence of Sikhs that he would have to go in and shoot up the place. I don't think anyone, in general, has been pissed at Sikhs since Indira Gandhi was assassinated. So it would almost have to be that he was woefully misinformed about the difference between Sikhs and Muslims.
If you think about it, the reporter just kept it in the same idiotic generalization spirit.

Well the 2nd paragraph in the link says this.
"An unrepentant Breivik, 33, gave the Oslo court a stiff-armed, clench-fisted salute before being handed the steepest possible penalty, 21 years. His release, however, can be put off indefinitely should he still pose a threat to a liberal society left traumatized by his bomb and shooting rampage last July."
So I guess it's a matter of language. The families and citizens are satisfied accordin to what the paper says. Maybe it makes them feel like caring humans to not hand out life sentences and forces their justice system to review convicts at least every 21 years.
I know the way we do things doesn't work as well as I'd like it to.
