Wiffles You can call him Roosevelt, but the thing is, Roosevelt wasn't born rippled ^^;

Jeanette X I didn't know you bred gerbils.
So what are you going to do about the as-yet-unamed gerbil? Is there anything that can be done to help it?

mburbank Why I was rippled just before boarding the comuter train this morning! If not for the headache this afternoon all would be well.

Les Waste I don't know any famous "rippled" people. Most of the famous people I know aren't made out of liquid.

mburbank I had a friend when I was a camp counselor and he brought a gerbnil to camp and I told all the kids it's name was 'Voyager' which was a Richard Gere reference, but really his gerbils were named John and Martin after John Lennon and Martin Luther King Junior which I thought was ultra gay and I told him so. Later that summer he left them in the car while he went swimming and Martin died.

sspadowsky Is 'Richard Gere' too obvious? 'Cause, you know, maybe that's how his leg got that way.

Our Crippled Gerbil

One of the seven pups in our most recent litter of gerbils was born with a nonfunction leg. It sticks straight out and the paw is cocked at a ninety degree angle, like a traffic cop stopping cars.

We nicknamed it 'Gimpy', but the wife wants it to have a more permanent monicker. She likes 'Tiny Tim' but is not certain. She aksed me for suggestions, with the idea of giving the gerbil the name of a famous rippled person.

I suggested Steven Hawking and Christopher Reeve, and she hated both those suggestions and also pointed out that neither of them were born crippled and they were in way worse shape than Gimpy and it was just more of my natural meaness masquerading behind humor.

Do you think I should try a whole new angle and suggest we name the gerbil Adolf Hitler? 'Cause it kind of looks like the little guy is heiling.
