Ant10708 I heard that a few years ago Dean referred to himself as center more then he was left. And now hes just saying hes a democrat to get the funding and the votes. Anyone know if this is true?

Either way I think hes a jerk who uses dirty politics(to trash Bush and the other democratic candidates) more then any other presidental candidate at this current time. I also think if the democratics want a victory they should pick someone else.

ranxer dean isn't a socialist.. rest assured in general he's a cross between slick willy and bush. ie capitalist polititian that will barely be a speedbump in the way of militarism.
from what i heard his 'national' health care will favor corporations and his touting of vermonts health care system is bullcrap.. he did NOT draft Vermonts health care system he tried to appose it .. even though he now claims responsibility for it.. bastard, lol

just about the only good thing i've ever heard about dean is that the entrenched corporate government is not positive that they can keep him undercontrol.. suggesting that there is some 'left' substance despite the above.

checkout the candidates according to ruppert at:

mburbank Well, since Bernie Sanders is proof that being a socialist in Vermont is viable, I think it's pretty safe to say Dean isn't one. People are the party they choose to affiliate themselves with, not what other people decide they are.

I might be wrong about that, though, in which case Orielly is literallly a Fascist as opposed to that just being my personal opinion of him.

Is Dean a Socialist?

A couple of nights ago, my brother was watching O'Reilly Factor in another room, and O'Whiney was categorizing candidate Howard Dean as a "socialist", and claiming that a "majority of people don't want real change in this country" (which may be true.) But...

Is Dean really a socialist? I know he's in favor of National Health care and a couple of other things, but I've always regarded him as left of center. I'm guessing that part of this is the fact that he's from Vermont, a state that's generally left of center.

O'Reilly seems to be painting Dean as Jerry Brown redux, and if that's the case, I'm guessing that makes Kucinich Stalin.
