Marhsall Crenshaw

Saw him last nite, it was awesome. The seats sucked. They were pews, but it wasn't a church. He mostly played songs from his new album, "What's in the Bag?" Every time he told us it was off that album he announced it "What's in the Bag, question mark." He started out with "Someday Someway," claiming it was his greatest riff, but it seemed to be in jest, and he just wanted to get the song out of the way. He covered "Kick Out the Jams," but he wouldn't do the intro because there was a really young kid there.

Everyone there was over 30, and brought their own booze, so we sat behind some annoying drunk lady. Crenshaw ran to the bathroom during the break between the performance and encore, which was pretty funny.

My friends and I all brought his debut LP, and we got them signed, and got to talk to him about how he liked being on Pete and Pete, where he was in little Pete's band, The Blowholes.

My signed copy.

My friend and crenshaw, and my friend taking the picture can't hold a camera.

Me and Crenshaw, you can barely see me.

Cren playing a song.

'Twas a good time.
