Fathom Zero | Seeing Planetside in action is what got me to like MMOs, the entire genre.

Ultima Online got me hooked to MMORPGs and was a major addiction from 1998-2000. This led to me playing about 20 MMORPGs over the years. I have since pretty much grown tired of MMORPGs but still have my UO account. I did have some fun in the Granado Espada CBT recently though. I'll almost always give a new one a try but I just can't seem to get into it as much as when it was all so new to me. I hope Age of Conan or Warhammer really shines. Edit: Oh, does anyone remember Bonanza Bros. (genesis)? That game is a great 2 player classic, along with Spy vs Spy for the NES. |

I had FF7, but got bored after Sephiroth (I know I butchered his name, get over it) shanked that main bitch at the end of the 1st cd. I liked using the black guy (Barret maybe?) with the gun for a hand. I generally stick to guns. As a matter of fact, if you added guns to any game, it would improve said game. Watch. NBA Jam - With Guns Grand Turismo - Now With Guns Jeopardy! Uzi Edition Guitar Hero III - Now with real gun included to shoot your douche friends NASCAR '07 Moonshine and Shotguns |

Zinger | Oh yes, there's also Final Fantasy 7. I'm going to aim for beating it once every 5 years.

It's hard to name just one, but I generally loved beat 'em ups. There fore, Golden Axe and Streets of rage series definitely among my favorites. Although, the crown goes to Punisher which was orgasmic. Also, Sonic the Hedgehog series for Genesis were pure gold. Especially the second one. And I guess I should mention FF 7, which is probably the best rpg ever and which made me to start playing other rpgs. |

Tecmo Super Bowl!! I didn't know the first thing about football (I still don't) but that wasn't a requirement to play, it was just good fun, brainless and exciting. Years later would be FFVIII, the first RPG I'd ever played that wasn't Chrono Trigger (Another awesome game). It got me hooked on RPG's ***Oh yeah....Mutant League Hockey...a game you could win simply by killing all your opponents! |

Dude, what was that soccer game for NES where the characters look like they're from river city ransom? That game was insane! I can't think of any other sports game where you could literally tackle someone to death. It was fun as hell to see dead bodies on the field. I have good memories on the street fighter and mortal kombat series. I made a lot of money from bets with my friends. |

JohhnyDamage | Super Mario RPG. First RPG, first 20+ hour game, and first game that made me realize that a game can have a massive fun story.

Zinger | Oh and Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country when I got a SNES later on.

Cliff Steele | for me it's the first shining force for genesis, i hadn't ever played a strategy game before then, and i've been hooked ever since, it led into the front mission games, ogre battle, etc., but it stands out for being the first game i was really enthralled with

For me Kid Niki and Kung-Fu were among my favorites starting out, but it was just about anything and everything back then. My older brother was big into games before me so it has always been in my enviroment since I can remember. One game doesn't really stand out as "That Game" for me unfortunately. ![]() |

Zomboid | Probably Zombies Ate My Neighbors or Mario 64. Both of those really made me like video games even more than before.

Oh yeah? Well I'm going to go get me some lemonade and take a dip in the hot tub. Just gotta make sure I have enough presents to make the trip. Edit: make sure to play the original still. |

Divisible by Waffle | Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was also a great game when I was a youngster, mostly because games about retarded speed really appeal to four-year-olds. I never had an NES, so I couldn't experience Double Dragon 2 or River City Ransom until I got a little older. Which sucks.

Oh yeah, and one mustn't forget about Super Mario World: 6 Golden Coins. It was the first games I owned personally. |

Schimid | tim is totally wrong. The second Toejam & Earl was FANTASTIC, just nothing like the original. I'm a sucker for two-player co-op and, believe me, it delivered
