Emu | You go around assassinating people in the second one, too. Sneaking and backstabbing all of the guards is some of the most fun I've had in a game. |

I really enjoyed Summoner 1. Especially the part where you are the rogue and you go around assassinating people. It is a fun game and has a good story. However, summoner 2 is awful. |

RaNkeri | I've heard that the cities in the game are HUGE. |

Grislygus | I tried out the first one for about twenty minutes. From what I remember, six of those minutes were taken up by load times. I dropped it for King's Field, which turned out to be a worse mistake. |

Summoner I've had the first Summoner for years now, but I never really got too into it. I got about halfway through the game before I got distracted by FFX, and I just picked it up (along with Summoner 2) and I'm really enjoying them. The character designs are great, the story is good if slightly obscure, the combat is good (at least in the second one; it's a bit boring in the first.) It's one of the only console WRPGs I've ever seen and it seems to borrow heavily from DND. I can't figure out why these games are consistently rated so low, because they're not bad. :o Has anyone else played them? |
