Obsession, Infatuation, Fascination Two years ago I came across a small website, run by an individual who today I still believe epitomizes beauty in its entirety. For a moment I lived for her, however said site has come to be nothing more than a dust trap, damned to sit there mocking my petty infatuation. Within my hard drive I house over nine hundred pictures of her, from when she would go on her webcam. That which she does no more. I don't know why I would sit there, refreshing the page to save another image. Perhaps I believed that in a way, I was capturing a small portion of her soul... to be mine, and only mine. The number of people to which I've revealed this to can be counted with the fingers on one hand, and each has labeled me either A) sTaLkEr or B) psycho. I think it's completely healthy... or at least that's what I tell myself. What are your obsessions, fellow I-Mockers? A certain individual you long to caress? An author, perhaps? An old car in your garage, deemed as trash by other people, but which you cherish as an extension of yourself? Do tell. |
