When I bought a new tv, I tried to find one with the special outlet, so that I could buy a European VCR and do that stuff myself. After tv shopping, I decided to give up. Around here, the cheapest way to do it is at this German store, and they charge $20.

Can anybody here convert PAL format tapes? I have a video tape in PAL (european) format that I need converted to a standard VHS tape or a DVD or even a nice mpeg. Any of those would do... and if any of you can do it, it'd be a hell of a lot easier than having to find some company to do it for me. |
