FS I take it you mean DVD players in computers? Cause mine - or, technically, my dad's - is a combination VHS player just hooked up to the TV. A Thomason DTH6000, I believe. I don't suppose I can do much about that to change its region playback.

pjalne The trick is not to get excited. Spell the alphabet backwards in your head and think about baseball.

Protoclown Also, if you stick your penis inside the hole in the center of a DVD, it can get stuck, even if your penis is small. You might break the DVD trying to get it out.

pjalne Nah, region 1 only. For region 2 discs, play.com is usually the best alternative. Which player do you have? It's usually not that difficult to open it for all regions.

FS Does this Canada-based store sell DVDs for all kinds of regions? Before I knew that DVDs don't work with the PAL/NTSC formats, I ordered two DVDs from Amazon. One worked, the other didn't because it was encoded for US players.

DVD tips

Thought I'd start a thread where people can give each other DVD tips, be it recommendations or good deals.

To those of you that buy DVDs online, visit DVDSoon if you haven't so already. While the Canada-based store isn't the fastest around and they charge you upon the time of your order rather than when they actually ship the items, they're among the cheapest out there. Plus, free shipping, and those who live in countries with strict import laws (like me), they don't include information about the actual cost of the items you buy on the box. If you're planning on getting the Two Towes gift set, this is where you get the best deal.

To find the best prices regardless of region, visit www.dvdpricecheck.co.uk.
