The Upright Citizens Brigade theater down is chelsea is ALWAYS good. Shows are only around 5 to 10 dollars (sometimes free at 7:30) and you might see somebody famous. Even If you don't, Respecto Montoya is really funny (if you like cancer and robbing stores because you have cancer). UCB is the only place in NYC so don't bother looking elsewhere because it's the only thing on the maps. |

yes. i know he's going to see the strokes at madison square garden. he's from waaaaaaaaay far away, so he has absolutely NO idea where to go and where not to go, what to do, what's safe and what's not, etc... |

Go Bushwick!! Bed-Stuy too. Seriously, what's yer friend into? Going to shows, and what sort? Bars, clubs? Cool shops, art galleries, restaurants... etc. |

There's a Toys R Us in Times Square with a ferris wheel  I'd recommend the obvious touristy kinds of places. Times Square, Central Park, the Empire State building. You can see a lot of cool stuff just wandering around. |
