james brown arrested again ![]() James Brown Arrested On Domestic Violence Charges Singer Booked Wednesday POSTED: 5:47 p.m. EST January 28, 2004 The "Godfather of Soul" is in trouble with the law again. Authorities in Aiken, S.C., say legendary singer James Brown has been arrested on domestic violence charges. The 70-year-old Brown was booked into the county jail Wednesday in advance of a bond hearing. Brown served 2.5 years in prison after a 1988 arrest on drug and assault charges. Brown was also convicted of a drug-related offense in 1998. He granted a pardon by the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services in May. The singer -- who's recorded such classic hits as "I Got You (I Feel Good)" and "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag" -- was one of five artists honored by the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., in December. --------------------------------------- thats the best picture of James Brown Ever ![]() |
