PAINKILLER This game kicks all manner of ass. the only problem I've had is the stupid bik video at the beggining skips every 3 seconds. having been in the "unnoficial" HL2 beta test thanks to a friend of a friend I can tell you that the havok engine looks pretty much the same in both games, but uses them well in both cases. I haven't found a car in painkiller, having only played the first two levels, but it is an awesome game. The painkiller itself is a lovely weapon. Imagine a blender at the end of a shotgun, with blades the size of fanblades. now imagine introducing this weapon to skeletons in body armor. I had no clue skeletons could bleed so much! Once you have devoured 66 souls you drop into "demon mode" which is kind of like bloodlust from bloodrayne, but more destructive. I also found a shotgun. the reload time is shit. I've also heard funny stories about game stores selling painkiller for 10$ due to computer errors, so get out there quickly, you may be able to take advantage of this perk. |
