The sad story of Sgt. Mittens Mittens was a high school king, Quarter back of the foot ball team And dating that sweet prom queen, Mittens was an All-American cat After high school, he didn’t know what to do So he got a job pumping gas Got a car that went real fast. And started going to a local school. But then a war in Vietnam Came and ruined his calm He got picked up by the draft, I feel so sorry for that poor cat Poor kitty, forced to kill for your country Poor Sergeant Mittens. No kitten should have to see, The things that this poor kitty sees, He watched his best friend die in ‘Nam This damn war ruined this man, (err kitten.) Well Mittens got his mail today It was his high school sweet heart, she did say That she was going to have kittens, And the daddy was poor lil Mittens. Now he had a reason to go on And finish out his tour in ‘Nam For the thought of his kittens Saved poor lil mittens. Poor kitty, forced to kill for your country Poor Sergeant Mittens. |
