JeefGyle | I traded in my PS2 for an Xbox, and have never regretted it. But I might end up buying one just cuz my friend is selling his for $100 with a few games. |

Nietzsche | Not sure if one is better than the other, but microsoft has 3 different dvd drives in three different xboxes. The drives arn't random though, theres the new ones, the old ones, and the really old.I forget what they are, but i read somewhere that certain games just suck in the really old models. I have an old one and it works fine. If you really need mroe info on it i can dig up my old gamepro that was talking about it, pm me. |

JeefGyle | I bought my Xbox "refurbished" about a year ago. Who knows how old the parts really are, but I only get the 'Dirty Disc' message occasionally while playing Halo over Xbox Connect. But from talking to other players on there, it seems to be a common problem when using it. |

Flynn | There is no better. Anyways, I would try putting the CDs in the CD cases they come in. That way, they will not get dirty and/or scratched. I've had my Xbox since they came out and have never had a problem. |

Mine is about 1 year old and it freezes every 5 hours of play Little tip: Put you Xbox to japanese text and then put in a CD that will give you the "dirty damaged thing" then leave it there for like 5 minutesopen the drive and repeat untill you get this bitching intro thats only supposed to happen once but due to the quality of microsofts fine products it never will happen at first start up :D |

XBOX ? Question for you Xbox fans out there.... Do the new Xbox systems have better/upgraded lasers in them that dont give the "dirty or damaged disc" error or the "freeze up" glitch? I have an old Xbox from when it first came out and although it works jsut fine usually...it does screw up once in awhile. Do the new Xboxs perform better (ie: the green Halo Xbox) ?? Any help would be appreciated. Lata. Ninja Gaiden Xbox rules. |
