	| DrGonzo | Fantatic book and equally great movie. The original 1930 version though. Not the one with John Boy. |

	| kellychaos | At first I was suprised and disappointed by the ending (I won't spoil it for those who haven't read it yet) but, after thinking about it, I realized that it really couldn't end any other way ... a strong statement that the author was making throughout the whole novel, really. |

	| kellychaos | I've never seen the movie but this book doesn't appeal to me as the kind of literature that would translate well into a movie. There's too much inner thoughts and feelings that would you'd be hard pressed to find a way to put into the dialogue between the characters without it seeming forced. |

But if the book is even 2 times better then the movie, I'll check it out.

	| kellychaos | This book is so intense that I had to put it down a few times just to calm down. It's very lucid and insightful. I'm discovering more and more that American and European writers of the 1920's and 1930's are a gold mine. Thanks all for the recommendation. |

	| Drew Katsikas | I had to read this back in 9th grade. I seemed to be the only person who liked it. The relation between Kat and, unfortunatley, the other soldier whose name I can't remeber, was really moving. |

	| Sethomas | All Quiet on the Western Front Awesome fucking book. Not considering Catch-22 or Slaughterhouse Five, probably the best damn war book ever written. I loved it.
