Every country has a country code that assigns a rate based on weight, destination, method of conveyance, ect. Nobody said that you necessarily had to drive and wait in line to figure out the postage. If you have a general idea of the wieght (typical first class envelopes are about 10-16 oz) and the destination, you can call your post office to find out the postage.

huond Yeah, why would I wanna spend $2 in gas and wait in line for half an hour when I was too cheap to just initially put an extra 37ยข onto the damn envelope?

Shostie Or you could've just gone to the post office and asked them how much it would cost...

Terra The postage rate is going to be increased anyway so make the SOB's work for it.

kellychaos Unless it's more of a hassle than the link Glowbelly posted, just go to the post office and let them figure it out. They have a database with all the country codes and scale to figure it out in seconds. It's their job.
