My parents smoke like crazy and sometimes I'll find a cigarette in the toilet and I'll pee on it extra hard to see if I can break off the ash.
When I'm on the passenger's seat I like to imagine Sonic the hedgehog jumping on bits of the passing scenery (e.g. pavements) and spin attacking the road signs! And I've been doing that since I was a kid!! Yes, I am very sad...

ArrowX Whene your driving down town at night in the rain and you squint so the light from the streetlights and such spreads out because of the blur, you see how many light you can get like that at once and block out your vision.

Or the holding game. You walk around your house and pick up random objects and hold them outstreched and see how long you can hold before your muscles give out.

The clean cotton socks and clean lenoleum/hardwoodfloor sliding game. Take a run towards your hallway and see how far you can slide or how hard you can hit the opposite end of the hall.

Dr. V Could be. It could also be mild OCD.

Helm I think it's the brain being used to dissasembling patterns and making sense of them all the time, that we have to invent new stuff to throw at it just to keep it busy.

Me too, since I was old enough to walk. I'm trying to break this habit on account of it's stupid.

I also subconsciously try to divide each stretch of walking (across a room, down stairs, whatever) into a multiple of eight steps. So if there are twelve stairs, I count one, two, three, four steps before I get to them and make sure my left foot goes first so I can count eight with my right foot when I hit the bottom. I think this is even dumber than watching floor tiles when I walk.

Helm Dole I can do some pretty smooth double-bass sixteenths with my right arm fingers on some surface that resonates well and I keep the snare with my other hand on my leg, and occasionaly embellish with pretend cymbals on people's heads

Helm, too.

Rongi in highschool or on a side walk i would play this game where i could only put one foot on a tile at a time. and if i put two on one tile i'd go back one tile. i did this often to stall going to class after i went to the bathroom.

oh and i did something similiar to the surfing hand thing. except i would pretend my hand was a little dude and he could jump from stop sign to telephone pole and climb the telephone wires. if he couldnt climb or jump on anything he'd loose a life

oh and sometimes when i masturbate i pretend i'm choking someone

pjalne When I was a kid, I has this thing where both my feet couldn't touch the same material at the same time. So you'd constantly see me walking down the sidewalk with one foot on the asphalt part and the other on the concrete lining.

I could help myself when people were around, but when I was alone, I'd be putting one foot up on chairs and stuff to get across the living room this way. It was a bit of a hassle.

BlueOatmeal I always race people when I'm stopped at a redlight. They don't know that I'm racing so I always win! Thoses afircan americans can't fuck with the '85 Oldsmobile Regency 4-Door!

Helm mostly sidewalk/subway tiles, where I like to do 'polyrhythms' where one foot walks 1+1/3 tile, and the other walks 1 tile and I clock when the two feet have walked a number of tiles that can be divided by the same number, and also when both feet align to the tile seperations after a while.

Shyandquietguy I do the floor tile game as well. By the way, Helm, are we talking about small kitchen tiles or sidewalk blocks? Because if it's sidewalk blocks, I like to keep an even number of steps when on the block (Or leave with my left foot, enter with my right.), if it's kitchen tile, I like to do things off of chess pieces in a way like four tiles forward one tile left, four tiles forward then one tile right.

I also use my mouse pointer as a baton and see how well I can stay with the music.

I like to walk on the border of a sidewalk if it has one.

Helm apparently i have problems, so I blink every time a car I am in goes from a shadowy part of the road to a non-shadowy part, and try not to blink until we're in another "safe" shadowy part. This was pointed out by a girlfriend of mine a few years ago and I still do it completely subconsciously

furthermore, I try to make equal floor-tile steps sometimes when the floor-tile in question is convenient

if I touch something nervously with one hand in any random finger pattern, I have to do the same with the other hand

I drum a lot with my fingers generally

I do the pee thing on the cigs of my dad

once, I kicked a wall and my foot hurt a lot

Fahrenheit 1337 I didn't really make this up, but in my youth I used to play a little game called "snapdragon." You take a bowl of fruit and fill it with brandy, then light it on fire, then you and your buddies take turns trying to grab the fruit in the bowl without getting burned or chickening out. The one with the most fruit wins, and the loser has to dring all the brandy left in the bowl.
It got me drunk off my ass on more than one occasion.

thebiggameover back in high school, when me and my friends would go get coffee, we would play a game called ligther war. it was kinda like the whole "snatch the pebble from my hand" thing but with a lighter. a lot of times we would spill out drinks because 3 people would all go for the lighter at the same time....

EisigerBiskuit Normally, I'll put my hand out the window, and I'll do, "Hand Surfing," jumping over things and gliding around.

ziggytrix i match up the windshield wipers to the music and figure out which one has the faster cycle. it really bothers me how close to the same tempo my wipers are to most hiphop, but never quite on beat, even when i start fucking with them to line it up
