I can understand why people would be all aganist emo, because of what is called emo today. The biggest difference I can tell is that old emo was punk with sentimental lyrics while new emo is pop with a small punk influence. | |

Emo Uh-oh, contraversy. So how many people here like Emo, and how many people here think that it sucks? I am kind of half and half about new Emo like Taking Back Sunday, My Chemical Romance, and bands like that. I hate Hawthorne Heights that did that terrible song Ohio Is For Lovers. Old Emo though, I love it, I can't get enough. Stuff like Rites of Spring, Rufio, Small Brown Bike, Sunny Day Real Estate, Jawbreaker (which is in my signature and avatar), bands like that. I especially love Jawkbreaker and Rites of Spring because they still have there punk/hardcore influences desplayed very predominantly. |
