Jeanette X | Hey, thanks soundtest. I keep needing to reinstall Kazaa after I use Ad-Aware to remove all the goddam spyware off the hard drive. |

You should count yourself lucky. It took me 72 hours to download "Fight Club" and 150 hours to download "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" which of course turned out to be nothing more than "NHL 2002" ![]() |

Not to mention morons who don't know the name of a song, listen to it, and re-name it based on the lyrics. If you search for Baba O'Riley, your search will turn up "Teenage Wasteland" Some people are just stupid that way. |

FS | There's nothing much you can do, because there's just idiots out there who name and rename their files completely wrongly. Before you download a file, hover your mouse cursor over it so you get the info on it. Check the file description, the keywords, the filename, the title. Usually the file name is what really gives it away. For instance, if the file's description is "Inspector Gadget a delightful cartoon is raped in this movie starring Matthew Broderick" and the file's name is "women_pleases_horse.mpeg", don't start humming the Inspector Gadget theme just yet. |

Captain Robo | What I like about Wiffles is that you couldn't ruin his day even if you hit him in the face with a sledgehammer. |

That's what Spybots are for, silly Wiffles. Damned if I can find any though. Maybe I'm not trying hard enough. |

I kinda figured that upload speed from the other computer was a factor, but I wasn't sure. Which would explain why I can DL ROMS, big ass 17mb Neo Geo roms in less than 5 minutes but it STILL takes Kazaa 12 hours to get me Reservoir Dogs. Also, I never noticed Kazaa had a preview option. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough. |

The download time depends on a number of factors: A) Your connection speed B) The connection speed of the person(s) you're uploading from C) The size of the file. And no, there's really now way to tell exactly what you're getting sometimes. You can always test out the "Preview" function in Kazaa, but if the movie requires a codec, it won't preview. Also, try and narrow out the shit by checking the file extension and the integrity. A couple of times I've ended up downloading movies that were renamed. I ended up downloading "Fight Club" when I looked for Half Baked. Then when I looked for "Fight Club" I got 8 Mile. It's all fucked up. |

Unseen, are you using dialup? Dialup sucks :/ That's why your DL is taking so long if that's the case. But then, I have a cable modem, and some things STILL take about 12 hours. Kazaa SUCKS. |
