GADZOOKS Joel era: Cave Dwellers
This is probably one of the first episodes I've seen. I remember the parody of the opening sequence being one of the funniest things I saw on television. This is eaily the episode that made me fall in love with the show.

Mike Era: Overdrawn at the Memory Bank
Like jixby said, season 8 was a real golden era for MST3K. And the last one from that season is my personal favorite. It was one of those rare moment where I got every joke and couldn't stop laughing.

Favorite Short: Robot Rumpus, this one i had to watch again because I missed so many jokes the first time. I actually saw that short a few times non-mst3k'd and i can recall every joke as I watch it.

Jixby Phillips The best Joel/Comedy Central episode for me is Pod People. The host segments are so silly and stupid in that one, and the movie is just so damn fun to watch even when theres a lull in the jokes, and it ends with a great song instead of reading retarded kids letters

The best Mike/Sci-Fi episode I think is Time Chasers just because its the funniest I think Season 8 might be my favorite season of MST3K ever, there is just a huge long run of fantastic episodes. Like, when I think of MST3K, Season 3 typically comes to mind because thats around when I started watching it (it was probably more like season 4 when I started watching but thats when season 3 was being reran all the time). like thats how I DEFINE MST3K aesthetically in my head. But when it comes to just strong episodes that make me laugh lots, Season 8 wins. And thanks to the story arc it has (even though its kinda lame and silly) It gets to where If I ever actually sit down and watch a season 8 episode, I'll typically watch the next few episodes that follow it. Its like watching the LIfetime Movie Network, you just cant watch one.

the_dudefather i just use myspleen (as well as streaming it from everyshowsucks and streamwired), where else can i get them?
May 23rd, 2006 06:56 PM
Emu There's a whole archive dedicated to this show on the net somewhere, but you need a lot of memory to store the movies. They're all pretty high quality and can take upwards of a gigabyte of space.

Johnny Couth My brother and I used to wake up early in the morning to watch this show. Since it stopped playing, nothing else has been able to get us up early. I want to buy the DVDs but I've had no money.

Supafly345 I actually started watching it back when I was tweleve or eleven, and it was still on comedy central right after politically incorrect. I never had cable so I would spend the night over at my friend's house to watch it every weekend. That was around season 3 or 4 I think, later when I saw this blond guy I was all "who the fuck was that?" then later I found out that the blond guy was much funnier.

Skulhedface I might be biased because I was never awake in time to watch the actual show (sometimes, but rarely...)
May 22nd, 2006 06:41 AM
the_dudefather its a bi strange the copncept of the movie, as it was shorter than a regular episode, but i quite like the movie, as it wasthe first time i had ever seen MST3K, flicking on the tv at 2am to see a silhoutted robot shout "its captain weenie!" made me intreged to watch the rest of it, a year or so later i discovered there was an actual series, then the fun began.

(and if your doing the math, yes i got ito it quite late)

Jixby Phillips I think the movie is exceptionally weak, I don't know man, I used to love it but when I watched it again recently I got embarassed by a lot of the jokes
May 21st, 2006 10:47 PM
Emu I liked the movie because they made fun of a movie that really wansn't that bad. Besides, the very concept of "MST3K: The Movie" is hilariously ironic.
May 21st, 2006 10:31 PM
Skulhedface Maybe it's just me but I liked the movie the best.

T'wasn't really much different from the show, but for some reason I just thought it was the best by far.

Krythor Although it's not my favourite ANYMORE, I remember when I watched The Sidehackers every day for two weeks. It's kind of boring now but that may be just because I know it like the back of my hand.

The endings make the episodes for me alot of the time, and some of the best are Monster A-Go-Go, Invasion USA and It Conquered the World. The host segment and end credits following It Conquered the World that lampoon the ending are also genius.

My favourite single JOKE is during "Riding with Death" when the title appears on screen and Mike says "...The Matthew Broderick Story."
May 21st, 2006 05:05 PM
Trash The killer shrews was the best one.
May 21st, 2006 04:36 PM
DamnthatDavid Nope, it about a bunch of People flying through space when the evil villian starts a SPACE MUTINY!

All the space video is footage from the Original Battlestar Galactica.
May 21st, 2006 03:36 PM
the_dudefather not sure ive seen that, is it one of the japanese sci-fi movies?
May 21st, 2006 01:17 PM
DamnthatDavid Space Mutiny is by far my favorite. I show it as the gateway episode to new watchers.
May 21st, 2006 02:15 AM
Supafly345 Future War, by lightyears. It is among the most cheap and stupid, and the funniest.
