I saw them once open for the Aquabats. The music was ok, but the show was cool because the guy had a thing that launched toilet paper all over the crowd. |

Mockery | I'll check 'em out sometime simply because I saw their crazy space van parked near our hotel at this year's Comic-Con. |

Misdemenor - Nope, Savini's school is in the midwest... somewhere. I forget where. Chicago, I think. Westmore is run by the Westmore Family (Michael, specifically). They're one of the legacy families (having been the first family contracted by a major studio in the 30s and every generation since). Black Flag: as for the Phenomenauts being Man or Astroman rip-offs, not quite. The Phenomenauts can actually play their instruments. The gimmick is secondary. |

Krythor | Why have there been so many references to the AQUABATS of all bands on this forum lately? |

Misdemonar | That make-up school wouldn't happen to be tom savini's school, wouldn't it? |

my bad, I must have missed that velvet rope. *shrug* I wasn't aware there was a particular introductory ettiquette. And that's the first negative I've ever heard said about the band in particular - but I guess all the other people must have been scenesters, eh? :P |

the hardest rocking band in the galaxy, the PHENOMENAUTS If you have never heard of the Phenomenauts... they are a local band from right here on Earth, and they are looking for a go / no go to rock. Okay in all seriousness, they are a space/science themed punk/rockabilly/surf band that has played the Warped Tour and has also played with bands such as the Aquabats, Demented are GO, and the Groovie Ghoulies (just to name a few). They are launching their first headlining tour this week and you really shouldn't miss it. They'll be in the Los Angeles area this weekend (friday - pomona, saturday - el monte, sunday - malibu) and head across the country from there. Check out their site - www.phenomenauts.com - for details. Yeah I know, I sound like a commercial. I'm not even on their street team. I just think they're amazing and that a lot of you probably would, too. |
