kahljorn you know I heard that all of his "comedy routines" are just kind of rants rather than jokes so maybe he just let his ranting get out of hand and nobody got it. I think that might partly explain why he "obsessed" over it. I mean, making a ****** joke or two on stage will usually result in people laughing or ignoring the joke but like 40 of them becomes obnoxious, noticable and seems racist. :O

Schimid you're an idiot.

Command Prompt Being a big comic fan, I'd say he was trying to be edgy and it backfired on him. Thousands of comedians do edgy material, it just depends on the audience you are preforming for. As George Carlin taught us, comedy isn't based on content, its based on context. Seriously, the same week this happened, Borat is the best movie ever and the best jokes in the movie have jews laying eggs and changing into cockroaches. WTF? Context.

Fuck it, its ALL funny, or NONE of it is funny. Special treatment for no one.

Ninjavenom I thought it was inappropriate because it was intended to be malicious, but apparently these guys were pestering him the night before, too. He could have been a lot more creative, but it's not like my image of him is shattered or anything. Why should i give a shit? For the curious, the board for this on the Suicide Girls site is pretty funny. Some people are all like "It's the most disgusting thing i've ever seen" and some are like "wtf it's not a big deal howcome they call him cracker and it's okay" and it's safe to say that every opinion on the subject is wrong except mine. He fucked up, but he shouldn't have to apologize if he doesn't want to. I bet you this is the end of his career, and it's because everyone is so fucking scared of racism in hollywood from all the jewish studios and clubs banning anyone who dares to cross the line of political correctness and be themselves.

Okay, I believe a white comedian could, theoretically, call someone disreputable person of African-American descent, whom I think is quite nice and get away with it IF, IF, IF he makes it funny, which is hard enough.
This would have been funny if he just went "NOW YOU LISTEN HERE ******!" and rolled right into his next joke.

kahljorn I've known so many racist black people in my life and it's perfectly okay for them to make fun of you being white but once you call them black (or make fun of their mothers for being "white") you've crossed a line and you better prepare for an asskicking because that's their important social heritage that they're still representing..

micheal richards seemed like he crossed a bit of a line though, I think if anybody got in front of an audience and started screaming obscenities at an audience (unjokingly) the audience would probably leave, regardless of if it's about black people.

Because it's such a sore subject, racism is much less prevalent in the South than it is in the north. I've lived in both, and out west. It's one thing to talk about black people, it's another thing altogether to build your white societies in such a way as to eliminate the possibility of your daughter ever dating one.
Thank you. I've lived in the south all of my life, and I worked up north a lot during the 80's, and that was my observation. But, when anyone heard my southern accent, they immediatly assumed I wore a sheet and wiped my ass with corn cobbs.

Fuck you geggy. I haven't oppressed ANYone, and don't feel any "racial guilt" so letting blacks "take it out" on whites for past oppressions is the most stupid concept I've ever heard of. Tell ya what, trot your happy ass down to the dark side of YOUR town, and you "take one" for all of us. Wear a sign; "I'm here to pay for all of your ancestors oppression! Abuse me!" Let us know how you make out.
Did you watch "Die Hard: With a Vengence" recently?

Geggy I didn't know it was a liberal thing to let blacks take out their anger on whites through insults and funny jokes. By the way isn't calling a straight a fag the same thing as calling a white a ******?

You really are an uber-liberal fag, you know that? Blacks are not the only race to ever be enslaved in the history of the world. Plus nothing excuses racism, no matter what race is doing it.

mburbank To Preechr's point; The Randy Newman song 'Red Necks' says it best, but you have to listen all the way to the end.

Randy Newman is a fuckin' genius.

I've seen those Seinfeld outtakes on the DVDs. He gets into some sort of "zone" and if anyone flubs lines he has absolutely no sense of humor about it.

Which is why I don't know what to make of it. I'm sure his outburst was intended ONLY to piss people off on purpose because he was angry, which is hilarious, but on the other hand his apology was one of the most awkward things I've ever seen. I don't want to think that he's an actual racist, but I have lost a little respect for him (not as a stand-up comedian though, he doesn't seem like much of one anyway)
