Grislygus | I've never actually gotten around to watching any of the Candyman movies. But it's mostly grisly murders, right? I'd think it'd be in the slasher film category. |

Ha, that's spot on. Man, I just never could get into The Fog. Hey, would Candyman be considered a ghost movie? |

I like The Fog too, but not in a good way. Seriously, the pirates were the LAZIEST motherfuckers I have ever seen in any horror movie. "Gee, we've waited five hundred years for vengeance on the entire town, but these people are the easiest to get, so whatever." |

Grislygus | Unless, of course, said purists are avid fans of a semi-obscure, crappy filmmaker they just looked up on Wikipedia five seconds ago and now totally are just all about. |

grudge was better because ju-on put me to goddamn sleep. i like jap movies, sure. i've seen awful jap remakes, pulse comes to mind. but the grudge was better than ju-on. the whole way they handled the ghost chick, with the gurgling ect really freaked me out i remember my girlfriend was asleep and i was watching it on satellite & I had to wake her up because I was so scared. i can't even remember any of ju-on. but goddamn, the stair scene in the grudge was EXCELLENT. they had the same director and everything, but the grudge had a way bigger budget. and it shows. removed jaws, sarah michelle gellar dyeing, the movie not putting me to sleep.. I would have liked Ju-On more if I saw it first. But The Grudge is better, in lots of ways. I can see people liking it if they are some sort of poor-movie purist, but I like my movies shiney. IN CONCLUSION: ju-on gets props for being the OG home-dawg, but in the end it is weeaboo jerkoff fodder for kids who can't appreciate the sleek, upgraded package that is THE GRUDGE |

I don't remember anything about The Haunting. I saw it at the theatre, only a couple of rows aways from the screen, and I was quite literally mesmerized by the penile nose of Owen Wilson. 'His nose totally looks like a cock' Ten minutes later 'I mean, look at it. It's a dick!' Ten minutes later I mean, have you ever seen that movie Nothing but Trouble? There is this Judge, Dan Akroyd, and he's got this prosthetic nose that looks like a giant dong. It was crafted, sculpted and cast to look like a dick. They probably even made more than one. Probably dozens... They should have just hired that guy... ...or he should have went into porn... |

Wow, just looked up A Tale of Two Sisters. Freaky ass shit, definitely going on the Netflix queue. Also, just watched The Haunting again, completely forgot about the awesome door-bulging sequence near the end. |

‘Gay’ says the person with the pink, androgynous, cosplay-creature signature. Seriously though, it was a remake that exists only to be spoon fed to western audiences. An Americanized version of a Japanese move, that still actually takes place in Japan. Pointless, much? Why, in your opinion, was it better? |

noob3 | grudge was good as hell you are just acting too good for it but if you wern't acting all gay like that you could see that the grudge was actually much better |

Grudge blew and was an entirely pointless remake. A Tale of Two Sisters was a pretty good South Korean movie. It's currently getting the American remake treatment for 2009. I also like South Korean revenge movies like Old Boy and Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance. I was living in Korea when those came out, as well as Phone. Or P-own, as my students would say. |

Grislygus | Holy shit, that guy's busy. So let's see, that brings the count to three upcoming remakes that he's involved with? |

J. Tithonus Pednaud | The Changeling is a Canadian flick allegedly based on some events is Colorado. It is also slated for the remake treatment, produced by Del Toro. |
