I would like to hear your definition of "conspiracy". It would certainly be a welcome change of pace from your usual routine of declaring an event a conspiracy and then calling Kevin/Blanco/anyone else who doubts it a tool of the Man.

A gun was found at the crime scene. Or rather that AP picture you posted (ya rare and unknown my ass) is of a gun found at the crime scene. Was it the only gun? Was it the gun of the assassin? Had it been fired? How can you positively identify its type?

Dr. Boogie So you're saying that just about anything could be a conspiracy, and there's little chance to disprove it? Not even with pictures that are "rare and unknown to many"?

i bet you didnt know the gun was found at the crime scene before i posted the picture which is rare and unknown to many. i think of it more as being stupid and lazy when it comes to controlling the information that can and cannot be released to the public. thank god for the internet am i right

no, it's just an effect of every government position in pakistan. you guys thing that musharaf wants to hold on to power forever, but he really just doesn't feel like moving his stuff around.

El Blanco The only thing that bugs me about that is how it would sit with the guys actually on protection detail. They'd be understaffed for the purpose of getting blown up. I can't imagine they'd be too happy with their bosses.

mburbank Or we could say that the govt. knew (as did everyone) that Bhutto was a target and simply reduced protections until her assasination became likely.

It makes delaying the election a responsible move, it makes the extremists Mushariff uses to justify crack downs look even more dangerous, it causes the oposition party to riot making them a danger to law and order and it removes Mushariffs most capable opponent from the table.

I'm not saying that makes the argument true. It's not wild conspiracy theory either.

Geggy You know that gay old saying "its not the crime that kills you, its the coverup". Well the gay old saying could may very well apply to the pakistan government because they're backtracking on everything which would indicate theyre trying to cover their asses. The gun in the picture which I posted was identified as steyr m9, commonly concealed by the pakistani special forces division under the directions of the "former" general musharraf and the isi. So its not so crazy to suspect the government's involvement of the assassination. Afterall they did have a lot to benefit from it, like the postponed election in whcih strongly supported bhutto had better chance of winning. Man your teenage kids are going to be lucky to have you as their dad, getting away with everything and all.

By the way what's your obsession with the jews?

I'm still not clear why the pakistan government would insist that bhutto's death was caused by severe head impact on the sunroof from shockwave from the bombing. How could they come to this conclusion if the autopsy on her body was denied when there are most conclusive evidence that bhutto took one in the head even before the blast? Something still stinks.

My meaning was that they would have to have the gun to match it with and with so many guns that use the same ammo it would not be an easy task.

Yes, the autopsy would tell you the gun that was used. So what, Geggy? You wouldn't accept the answers. If it does jibe with a lone gunman working for a terrorist group, you'd just assume that since it was done by the government, they are lying.

I'd say you can get a lot more info from the body of the gunman than hers.

You've made your decision. I'm sure you can quote from American Free Press or soemwhere tp "prove" your theory about George Bush and Israel doing this.

All that said, I think they should permit the autopsy, but I'm not going to jump at shadows over it.

MLE Each gun leave ballistic markings on the bullets. They're as unique as fingerprints. Using a gun that takes standard ammo makes no difference whatsoever.

Not to mention to match a bullet to a gun you first need a gun and a link as to how it would be there since many guns use the same type of ammo.
