GRUMPYNZ |
They did a free show/concert at a video store (of all places?!) in Wellington, New Zealand recently (where they're from). I think that's pretty cool for them to be so humble after the success of their show in the states. Apparently the TV networks over here rejected the show - bet they regret that now. |

timrpgland | Yeah I really enjoyed the 1st season they put out and they are supposed to get another even though it seemed like they played just about every song of theirs already. I remember seeing them on a standup special on comedy central a few years back and thought they were funny. Didn't get way into them til the show started. I was there every Thursday. Good stuff. |

Bowie in Space is definitely my favorite. The version they did for the show wasn't too great, though. |

My favorite song is either "Hip-Hopopotamus vs. The Rhymenoceros", "Bowie", or "Something Special for the Ladies". god I love them all I was reading the comments on the youtube video you linked and its really sad that people need to compare Tenacious D and FOTC... |

I love this show so much, I have no idea how I missed this thread. My personal favorite is the one where they're being discriminated against by the fruit vendor. THIS IS BOWIE BACK TO BOWIE, I HEAR YA LOUD CLEAR MAN, HOO YEA MAN! |

Mintrude | I'm wondering how they're going to start it. You could tell they weren't sure it was going to be renewed when they did the first series, so the ending had to be able to stand by itself if there wasn't a second series. Should be interesting, seeing as they have to write all new songs now. |

DuFresne | Actually, I just read on the Wikipedia page that it has been renewed for a second season, and you're probably right about it being sweet as well. |

I also got the first series for Christmas. Each episode needs a couple of watches to pick up everything. "Rumours?" "Nope, all true," Murray Hewitt is the shiz! |

Unfortunaty i have only seen their early stand up routines when they were starting out in the late 90's I bet TVNZ are kicking themselves due to the fact they orginally turned down their idea for a show and now theyre famous. Just another thing that a humble Kiwi can be proud of |

I got the fist series DVD for Christmas, watched it on HBO. Those guys are hilarious, especially the episode where they get mugged. "I'm the Rhymenocerous, my rhymes are bottomless..." |

My girlfriend got me the first season for Christmas! her! I think their on-stage show is a lot funnier than their series, but I definately love both. I watch their songs on youtube almost daily. ps: http://www.i-mockery.com/forum/showt...ight+Conchords |

The Flight of the Conchords Any fans? I think it's a HBO series, very much like Stella IMO. A house mate just showed me a few episodes and it's good. |

So I just saw this show last night and I absolutely love it. As a bonus, HBO On Demand had a clip of them doing a stand up routine in which they sang about rap and racist dragons. It was hilarious. Y'all should watch this. |

Flight of the Conchords Have any of you seen this show yet? It's pretty damned good so far. It's basically a sitcom with comedic songs intermixed into the episodes. |
