A few years ago, I was helping a girl google stuff to photoshop in graphics class (she was not smart), and she wanted to do a tropical island thing so I told her to do a google image search for "Tiki" and photoshop in one of the results, and the first result was underage gangbang rape hentai and I was all like, "not that one". My girlfriend often inquires about what exactly I'm doing on the Internet for 5 hours a night and I generally just say "nothing... really" lest she find out that I've just spent half an hour animating cats or something. No one should ever try and explain things which happen on the internet in the context of real life because it just doesn't work. It's like the Martix - you have to see it for yourself. |

I have traversed the boundaries of geekdom Today I was sitting in my multimedia class. It's basically a class that focuses on introducing photoshop, and the teacher taking 2 classes to explain how to use layers "effectively". Anyways, I usually finish the assignment within the first 10 or 15 minutes, then spend the next 45 dicking around. Today I was reading Bash.org, and couldn't help but chuckling moderately loud at some of the quotes. One of the members of that mysterious female population came over, and read over my shoulder. "Whats leet mean?" she would prod, and "Who are the protoss?". I started to explain it, and for the first time in a while I listened to what I was saying. To me, it made sense.
