Just like the last four or five re-released games!

By thee way, Chrono Trigger is the shit! So having this on DS is a win for me. NOW....give me Earthbound or give me jack shit!

Nick I agree with everything.

OxBlood I´d like Chrono Trigger for DS, mostly because it never got released in Europe back then. Of course I have played it on my trusty emulator but I never beat it, so I don´t mind. I am also looking forward to FF4 because that was the first good FF in my opinion.

FF4 on the DS this month
Was 3 rehashes of this not enough? Did they need another one?

As for that Game with no Name thing, I can't say I'm excited, but I remember Final Fantasy 7 scaring the crap right out of me so I actually think Square has an idea of what they're doing in that department. The 4th wall breaking sounds interesting; more games should be trying this sort of thing.

Fathom Zero I don't say fuck them because they have a good business going. I'm saying fuck them because I don't like the games that much. And anyone on here could tell you that I never liked Chrono Trigger. Much less than any Final Fantasy game.

Because of that, they've never gotten my business. When they do something good, I'll buy it. Like the Game With No Name above.

Phoenix Gamma Say what you will about Square's inability to release new games (though The World Ends With You was a nice change), but at least when they rerelease a game, they manage to do it right (see: FF4 on the DS this month, or FFTactics: War of the Lions on PSP.)

They also manage to sell, so if anyone deserves a scolding, it's the ones who keep buying the same game over and over. Being a whore doesn't matter that much when you're making big bucks I guess

That's why I'm so bummed when I saw the press release. The game is (reported to be) nearly unchanged save for a new dungeon and "wireless play". If you're going to repackage a game, you might as well make it worth buying. That said, I'll just emulate it on my R4 now, since I don't think anyone should earn money for giving people something they already had.

Fathom Zero No, it's something else. Moon is from another company. It looks just as cool, though.

darkvare moon? or is it something else i must know about and also is it for ds

Fathom Zero I'm more excited about the survival horror game they're coming out with.

You know, a game that's not a rehash.

darkvare i'm getting it my save states always seem to get fucked up when emulating this game

Guitar Woman Hey, a chance to re buy a game I beat several times years ago!

If it were a revival of Chrono Break I may have cared slightly more

Dimnos I must have missed the C on the clock. The URL being ctds is the best argument for it, and i really hope it is CT. I just doubt square-enix will ever give me what i want.

Phoenix Gamma But there's a C on the clock, and the URL says ctds at the end. Plus there was an ad in Famitsu or whatever saying "CHRONO TRIGGER DS!!!!!!!" with silly japanland text flying all over the page.

EDIT: Press release:

Dimnos A CT sequel would rock, a revamped version for the DS wouldnt be kick ass too. However I dont think this is the case. I think its all a set up for a new game Sigma Harmonics

Chrono Trigger for the DS?

Supposedly there was a teaser ad in a japanese magazine this month, followed by a teaser site by Square that just launched:

http://www.square-enix.co.jp/ctds/

Looking at the evidence (or just the url), it seems like a safe bet that Chrono Trigger is heading to the DS in some way, shape, or form. I'd rather a sequel instead of another cash-in remake, but I'd love if they could somehow create all of the time periods in 3D.
