makaikishi Vampire - The Masquerade: Bloodlines. 10 years on and it's still a fun game.

All Hail Duke finished walking dead season 2

pretty good, and there's more options than season 1

a little let down there weren't any comic cameos this time

Phoenix Gamma I played Ultra Street Fighter 4 until I ragequit. That was maybe a week ago and I haven't picked up my fightstick since. Everyone says you need to put hundreds of hours to get good at it, and I had the realization that I could put that time towards literally anything else.

I'll probably go back to Shovel Knight and try for all the achievements, 'cause that game's hella tight.

The online multiplayer on that isn't as much fun as I'd hoped.

I'm currently running through an inverted Castlevania with my demon familiar. Symphony of the Night is one of those games you just gotta go through every so often.

postaholic Just finished Transistor, really cool game with a very versatile combat mechanic. The soundtrack is also pretty good.

King Hadas Everybody complained about the bad acting in Heavy Rain so they got better actors for Beyond. Let's hope for a similar treatment towards the next game's script. Visually David Cage game's are great and I like the interactive storytelling, but christ get a fucking ghost writer you hack.

Guitar Woman The only way I can possibly describe it in a single sentence is "The video-game equivalent of Zardoz." It's just a horrifying mindfuck shitstorm of everything that could possibly go wrong while creating a work of fiction. It's the kind of bad where you could theoretically get some intoxicated guffaws out of it if you played it with friends, and I certainly did, but the parts of the game that just shit on your soul with their awfulness make none of it worthwhile.

I feel like I've been mind-raped by a fat French hack. I've got Post David Cage Game Stress Disorder. I just... not even George Lucas could make something as stupid and illogical, as fucking offensive and repugnant, as this game. Cage writes like fucking Chris Chan, and he's got about the same stance in regards to gender politics. I just. Hate. I fucking hate. HOW DO PUBLISHING COMPANIES KEEP GIVING HIM MONEY?

I'd love to see the video recordings of all the mo-cap sessions from this game, because I want to see Ellen Page's face at the exact moment she realizes she's in the middle of the most colossal fuck-up of her entire career.
Dec 30th, 2013 09:34 PM
Dr. Boogie That is pretty much all I've heard about that game: you don't really do anything in it, and Ellen Page is naked for no reason.

I got Indigo Prophecy back in the day because it seemed so interesting, but I had enough of his brand of storytelling even before Heavy Rain.

Guitar Woman Oh god, I've never played a game I hate more than Beyond Two Souls. It's worse than Heavy Rain and Indigo Prophecy combined. The entire thing is literally just so David Cage could watch his celebrity crush/stalking target play the victim in his creepy white knight rape rescue fantasies, and so he could make two - not one, but two - completely anatomically correct naked 3D models of her for his personal spank-bank. Jesus Christ. Ellen Page fucking better sue over this game, she has every right in the world. Fuck, I only played the goddamn thing and even I feel like filing a fucking lawsuit.

The worst thing about that game though was that at the very end, after all the credits, it shows you a dedication.

Nick I only updated and play a bit of Assassin's Creed 4 last night. From what I've seen the menu and home page seems a lot better than PS3's ever was. Assasin's Creed 4 is pretty fun too.

The only problem I've had with it is that the power cord is only 5 feet long, so I ordered a PS3 slim cord to replace it.

dextire Very nice there, Nick! What do you think of it so far?
Nov 15th, 2013 11:32 PM
King Hadas lol yeah I just bought a Ps3, my very first next last gen system!

I played Beyond: Two Souls recently, I like David Cage games but man he is a terrible writer. In any other medium I'd think he was a fucking hack but I do like his games.

Babs Bill... Oh billy boy... is this your idea of trying. You bring shame to your self. I told you, you're gonna have to work for these types of things. Don't be afraid to use some of your "talents".

I agree with just about everything here. However, I still really liked the game.

The last few encounters are a serious joke. I can deal with no boss battle at the end, lots of games do that. They could have made the last few encounters timed to add some challenge but they didnt. Lots of the encounters is the game have guys you can sneak past but usually its best to take them out before engaging the next group. I think in the final encounters there were very few guys you just had to take out.

Not to mention, I never really felt like I didnt have the supplies I needed. If you just put in a little effort to sneak around and take out a few guys by choking them out, you always had plenty to take out the rest. Any time you actually come close to going empty is after a big fight and you get to loot everyone and get plenty stocked up.

Spoilers!

Again, still loved the game though and multiplayer is sweet. I love how stealthy it makes you be. I have yet to see anyone do a good job with doing a run and gun.

SuperYuriGagarin I have my problems with Borderlands 2. But It has beautiful maps.

Biggest problem with Borderlands is the guns feel inconsequential and disposable even the ones you like, because you will invariably find one that handles and feels exactly the same but with a better stat value. I wish it had a non level based method of balancing usefulness of firearms. So that a crude dumpy revolver you've had since lvl 1 was still able to kill things later on but still is outshined by some absurdity that fires acid flechettes out of a sub machinegun.

Dimnos Borderlands 2, yeah this shit is about a year old already but what the hell. I really wanted to like the first one but just couldn't. This one seams to do what the first one wouldn't for me, for whatever reason.

Mad Melvin The Last Of Us

Shit was currency. A perfect rollercoaster of videogamery.

Journey

Never played this before. It was weird and amazing. I still feel weird. It was like watching someone else's dream and I loved every minute of it. Not much replay value, I guess, but still. Very memorable moment in my gaming history.
