...I dare say that it is a good strategy they are using if the convention is looking for election-sympathy. A sort of commercial psychology for the people. In fact, where better to have their rebulican convention, than right there in the very wound of the stab; the place, where tragedy struck us all down like a bolt of lighting! It doesn't require a lot to find attention there, and they are catching people with the remenance of patriotic rhetoric. Nothing like a quick election mind-fuck! |

The Republican Nominating convention is going to be held in NYC about a week before September 11, which is a pretty ballsy use of tragedy and will go down in political history as a really amazing bit of Machievellian strategy, a really stupid assesment of National gullability, or, in the event of an actual terrorist attack on NY, just a dumb as dirt idea. Do you suppose with such a tempting target event in such a tempting target city they will crank up the national alert to Orange, or just leave it there from now until then? |

Considering terrorism has become the new communism in terms of what Americans are paranoid of... ...do you think we should call this period the "Orange Scare"? |

WE'RE BACK ON ORANGE ALERT!!! " Speaking to reporters while administration officials were considering raising the level, Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman John Warner, R-Va., said "I think Americans should give heed and pay attention to what they decide." "We do not know the specificity of where a strike could or could not come, but I think prudent measures are being taken by the president on down, by his administration," Warner said. Say, John, who writes your material, Vinth? |
