"However, it becomes crystal clear about 3 hours in that all you'll ever be doing is trapping someone, shoving something through their neck, and then tossing them into one of 3 generic death traps. Over and over and over." Yeah, that's about it. And the game has no qualms constantly telling you to be "creative" with your killing by doing that exact routine over and over again. It's seems less an action game based on quick reactions or aim, and more of a platform puzzle game where you have to find the pole to shove through the neck or the barrel to cover the enemy in, then walk to a spike to finish it off. The enemies stand around waiting to be killed in the specific A, B, C manner, just to be more handy. I would have hoped that this game would make people think up a variety of interesting and humorous ways to kill people that even developers didn't foresee, and maybe make videos on youtube for them. As it is, I got sick of bothering and just ended up chainsawing people all the time, as it's quicker. Are you still doing the Wii review site thing Chojin? I forgot the name of it. |

The game makes a great first impression and is really pretty. However, it becomes crystal clear about 3 hours in that all you'll ever be doing is trapping someone, shoving something through their neck, and then tossing them into one of 3 generic death traps. Over and over and over. And at the end of those 3 hours, the game will be over anyway. The boss fights are kinda neat, but there's no story behind any of it. In short it's a lot like No More Heroes, only instead of pressing A over and over to kill henchmen, you're holding A to activate a series of cutscenes. And the boss fights are actually pretty similar except you could really give a fuck about the story. The announcers are pretty good until you hear them repeat the same 6-second clip literally four times in a row without pause. Worth a rental. |

My guff with this game is that it's too short. ![]() But it's still fun to go back and complete the challenges. And hard mode is hard. ![]() |

Zhukov | I just bought it and I think it's probably more entertaining than I find it. I should be playing it non stop for the next day or so, not giving it a go and then retreating to the internet.

robo_rob | I've been wanting to grab it myself. Always wanted a game based on The Running Man. However, I'm saving up my next gaming purchase on a DSi.

gammo | Isn't this made by the same folks that created the "Viewtiful Joe" game? If its anything like those games, it's gonna be great! I'm gonna have to pick it up most likely.

But Greg Proops is so annoying ![]() I rented it today. Pretty fun. Not sure if I'd get bored of it, but right now I like finding neat ways of killing people. It's pretty creative. |

That would explain why I kept thinking "Wow, he really sounds like Bender." But yeah, the back-and-forths between the announcers are actually entertaining. It's a nice background element, having the loser / whiner and the sarcastic bastard announcing. |

I fucking love how John DiMaggio is one of the announcers. DIDJA REALLY WANT THEM TO SEE EVERYTHING BEFORE THIS? AHH, WHY NOT? DON'T WANNA RAISE A SOCIETY FULL OF PUSSIES. |

I got it. It's pretty fun, if you like brawlers / beat 'em ups. It's all very entertaining, racking up ridiculous combos that have been taught to you or killing people however you like is great. Maybe I'm just a closet psychopath, but I really get a kick out of impaling one person on a spike five times. It's addictive, my only problem is with the camera, which when combined with the art style, can confuse you as to where you are. |

I looks pretty entertaining. Beating the fuck out of dudes is always fun, but I'm afraid that it might suffer from "No More Heroes syndrome" and I'll be stuck mindlessly hitting A over and over for hours with nothing for a reward except for the color red and LOLSORANDUM cutscenes. That said, I hope it's not shit, because I need something to hold me over until the triple A titles start coming in. The studio that made it is composed of leftovers from Clover, so I'm cautiously optimistic. I'll probably rent it tomorrow and decide for myself. |
