Dire 51 | Gotta love MS... that's why I started my site devoted to the series.

timrpgland | Normally reviving old threads is a deadly sin but since it's a Metal Slug thread, it's ok with me

I hate classics going 3d, there are some exceptions (Metroid Prime, Mario 64, Zelda Ocarina of Time, etc.) But the worst is 2d to cell shaded *vomits* |

Zbu Manowar | Is it just me or in some of those pics does the hero resemble Link from Zelda 2?

timrpgland | Cool, only problem is that Playmore isn't doing anything special with the series. Alot of re-hashed stuff but those screens look pretty cool. Metal Slug 3 was the last real Metal Slug and it is the best one. 4 was a good game but Playmore really showed their lack of "SNKness." Of course you know I'm always excited about a new Metal Slug though.

Cap'n Crunch | Is it in the arcade or is it on GBA or something? I remember it on Neo, I think.

Mockery | Damn straight. At least one group has the balls to not follow the leader and go with more 3D shit. This series is too awesome as it is to ever become 3D.

Helm | Thank god! For a moment there I thought they had gone 3d. Good to know it's still good ol' 320x240 2d coolness.

Metal Slug 5 screenshots ZS just sent me this link. Gotta love how they stick to their roots and keep cranking out more sequels to this awesome series. http://www.gamespot.com/neo/action/m...reenindex.html :drool |
