mburbank "It is just a phrase a lot of people use when women start talking smack. "

A lot of stupid people.

"You must not hang around a lot of males"

A lot of stupid males.

I guess the stuff you say to me is what a lot of people say to Jews when they start 'talking smack'.

You must hang with a really stupid crowd, stupid.

I've never heard anyone tell a woman that she shouldn't have the right to vote when they think she's "talking smack." :/

Hell, it's not even funny, even when used in jest. It's one of those "WTF does that have to do with anything?" things.

Perhaps

Actually, if you posted this article as a retort to some of the obviously biased left wing stuff that some people post, than I'll only think half bad of you.

If you posted it honestly thinking it mattered and is somehow relevant, than my initial assessment stands.

This is how the military folks in general get to be made to look like jackasses. People read the first line and assume THEY are the ones saying they've made a major find. In reality, virtually everyone from the Pentagon down said it ISNT the smoking gun, just hopefully a step in the right direction.

But inevitably, people will assume that it's a case of the government trying to fool the people, instead of blaming the media outlets for trying to sell papers.

VinceZeb Sorry to dissapoint, Carnivore, but I do not believe that. It is just a phrase a lot of people use when women start talking smack. Women should have the right to vote just like everyone else and their opinions do matter.
Jun 26th, 2003 08:27 AM
Carnivore Wow. You hit the bottom and then you start digging the hole deeper. When you hit solid bedrock, you get a jackhammer and go even deeper. So, now you're saying women should not be allowed to vote and be relegated to housework and child rearing? No wonder you're so desperately seeking sexual attention from Kevin. God knows no woman would ever give you the time of day given that opinion... or any of your countless other ignorant opinions. You personify idiocy. Truly.

VinceZeb Proto: It's where the news came from, so I posted it
MM: Your attitude is what happens when we give women the right to vote and think their opinions matter.
GA: Well, someone had to post it. If George bush itches his crotch wrong, you can be sure that Kevin will pull the article from CommonDreams.

Ah ha ha ha....wait wait...ha ha ha!

Vince! Yes! What a brilliant post! Boy you sure showed all those damn commie pinko nay sayers! That'll teach em to doubt our boy Dubya!

Oh wait, then there's the SECOND paragraph......you might not have had a chance to get ALL THE WAY to that part.........

"U.S. OFFICIALS said the discoveries were not proof that Iraq had managed to build or obtain banned weapons of mass destruction, as President Bush asserted before the U.S. invasion of Iraq in March."

Perhaps you missed this part also....

"NBC’s sources said the plans dated back to the end of the Gulf War, when Saddam was already widely known to be seeking such weapons, and came as no great surprise."

God knows I want them to find shit as much as the next guy. I don't like the idea of thinking my friends and co workers went over there to risk their lives for nothing. But let's not go whacking our puds and crying I told you so every time some over hyped bit of "evidence" appears.

Woohoo! Saddam was trying to build a nuke before 1991! Can you beleive it?
