Systemz | My friend had a cat that when you pissed it off it would make a jump for your left eye - always the left eye. One day he showed up to class with an eyepatch over his right eye. I asked him what had happened, and he explained that the night previously he had crawled home in a drunken stupor and thought it would be fun to piss of his cat - so he covered his left eye with his hand, and zapped his cat with one of those flyswatters that uses static electricity - so the cat saw him covering his eye and just jumped at the right - he was so surprised he never had a chance - and the cat bit him right on his eyelid - it nearly punctured right through. He spent the night in emergency.

OK then. I have three cats, and none of them jump on people's heads. They trample my mom in the morning so she feeds them, but that's about it. So my best advice would be to get over it. Who's to say that this cat's going to pounce on you in the middle of the night? |

What works well is an essential oil burner - they're like 5 bucks at Body Shop or wherever and buy some lemongrass or grapefruit essential oil. It'll stink up the room during the night and flip out the cat. My all-time fave trick with my cats is the RC Car. Buy an RC at radio shack and anytime the cat goes near you after 7pm send the car after it. Believe me - cat's don't understand the RC. Then, when you go to bed, put the car just above your head. The cat's too freaked by the car to go near you. Believe me - I lived with my aunt and she was one of those "cat ladies". Before she got married she had 8. My cat is full-grown and is a third the size of a normal housecat. She's trailer trash, but smarter than hell. She's got me all figured out - when I get home after a night out, she stands by my bedroom door like a pissed-off housewife until I let her in, where she goes and sits beside the PC until I finished my nightly stream of drunken Emailing, and then runs to the can so I'll pour her a cup of water to drink, which she knows I'll put on my nighttable for her to drink while I read - when she's done drinking and cleaning herself, that's my signal to put the book down and go to bed. She sneaks under the covers and sleeps on my chest to keep warm. No imagine when I've had girls over at my place - this sort of routine can sort of wierd a person out. And so can a cat slightly larger than a guinea pig with eyes like a goddamn Ranma character. |

glowbelly | the cat isn't going to attack your head, re. at least, i highly doubt that it will. you can try playing with it all day long and wearing it out. cats are nocturnal, so they usually sleep all day and run around all night. if you keep it up all day by playing with it, you'll be making friends with it and it will hopefully sleep at night and not attack your head (which it's not going to do in the first place).

Be nice to the little cretin. :/ Once i woke up at my aun't house, and the cat was sleeping on my face. I thought it was more funny than disturbing, cuz cats are real quiet. I'm pretty sure a cat jumping on the bed won't make you dive for cover and start poppin' caps. ...Seriously though, just toss it in the trash. No one will know. |

My friend's cat has this habit of making a kamikaze dash before leaping onto the bed. He's knocked all sorts of shit over doing it, and also unplugged and broken his computer. But once Zus was sleeping in the bed when the cat did that and there was this crack when the two heads collided. Another funny cat trick is to put the plastic cover from a CD-R spindle on their head. They'll try to walk backwards out of it, but just end up moonwalking until it falls off. It's especially funny on stairs or those 'cat-trees' because they'll just walk right off them. AND THUS WAS SPACEMAN JACK BORN ![]() |

I am not afraid of cats. It freaks me out when they jump on your head when you are sleeping. Unless you are used to that, it startles you ![]() So I get "nervous" cause I don't want to be startled. |

Crimson Ghost | Get two cats and tie their tails together with a rope. Then hang them over a clothes line, or a tree branch. They'll fight till one of them dies. Hours of fun.

Dude, why are you responding with seemingly genuine concern and not ridicule? Hey Re, I have a cat on my stomach as I type this! You need some liquid courage to deal with this! Ooh, I know! Maybe you can take the cat to Subway and get it to order for you! ![]() |
