You muppets! Of course Number Six is, in fact, Number One! Have you not seen "Fall Out" - the last episode? Number Six wins his right to leave The Village and meet Number One - nad he comes face to face with himself! The whole episode is a totally insane, surreal and baffling piece of cinematography which you must see at least once in your lives! |

The Prisoner was number One. Never seen the show, but I read it in a Sci-Fi encyclopedea. I'm such a dork. ![]() And actually, complete indestructability would make a great superpower, even if that's all you had. |

Prisoner: Who are you? Number Two : The new Number Two. P : Who is Number One? 2 : You are Number Six! P: I am not a number! I am a free man! 2: (laughs) Listen closely, Number 2 is not just telling McGoohan what his identity is in The Village; he's replying to the question: "Who is Number One?" "*You* are, Number Six!" Thats my theory at least... |

I've seen it before when i was younger, my dad was a big old school TV nut (always had tapes of Man from U.n.c.l.e and "The PRisoner" laying around) I thought it was actually not too bad at the time. I believe they have out a DVD set for it: http://store.aetv.com/html/catalog/vp01.jhtml?id=70470 |

Captain Scarlet Anyone ever seen this show? It was made by Gerry Anderson, the same guy that made the Thunderbirds etc. It was about this covert government operation called Spectrum fighting against sneaky aliens, who were never seen, except for two glowing white beams of light that seemed to pop up from time to time. They were able to create exact copies of things and do stuff like telekinesis and mind-controll etc. Now, the good guys, Spectrum, were fighting them and their top agent was Captain Scarlet. All of their operatives are colour coded, and Scarlet was their main man. The aliens called the Mysterons decided to wipe out the human race they had to capture Spectrum's top agents, i.e. Scarlet and Captain Black. They succeeded to turn Captain Black into some kind of walking corpse, but they failed with Scarlet, who then became indestructable. It was a pretty cool show. The intro sequence was always cool (Scarlet getting shot with heavy-duty machineguns, but just taking the bullets without flinching and killing the shooter with one shot.) |
