If Chins Could Kill, by Bruce Campbell I know I'm a bit late, and all. But I finally got this book a couple weeks back. And I really have to say, if you haven't read it yet, do so now. Go out, buy the book, come home, and start reading. Right now, I'm about 3/4 into it (I'll probably finish it by the week's end), and I love it. It's a mixture of standard autobiographical information, hilarious stories, details about his various work as an actor, a look at what goes into making TV shows and movies (and even plays), and intelligent insight. It's not just an autobiography, it's an incredible look inside the world of Bruce Campbell, and a look at the rest of the world through his eyes. Granted, with any autobiography, there's the little problem of keeping names straight. When going through 20 years of a person's life in a handful of chapters, it can get a tad confusing. But not so much to completely turn you away from going on. Other than that, I really can't think of anything bad about this book. Besides, once you get into it, the names all come together better, as those who aren't a continued part of his life are soon left back on the early pages. The book is just a great read, for anyone and everyone. So if you haven't bothered with it yet, I demand you do so now. Hell, if you don't want to spend the $14 on it (why, I don't know), you can go to the library and check out a copy. It's gotta be there. |
