The concept of the Phantom has changed, I believe. Basically, it's a system that you can download PC games and others for on a "rental" basis, and play for however long you wish. If you like the game a lot, you can purchase it. Although I think "purchasing it" means it's still downloaded onto the hard drive. It's interesting, but nothing that's going to succeed. Similar ideas have been done in the past, and have flopped. |

haha yea i remeber hearing about this a while back before they released info about it. supposedly the company is in some strip mall in florida. I sort of remeber at the time they were saying it could play x-box and ps2 games too. I think the whole thing is a crock of shit. If that thing ever comes out it will probaly be too expensive, and it sure wont have game companies behind it. but then agian if it can run all pc games it might have a prayer. It looks like it could be a great thing for emulators and stuff. |
