The music in the first episode is the greatest thing in the world. It's like a general MIDI dance party in my head. What I really don't understand is how at the end of one episode Nagumo has turned into the beast and destroyed Tokyo with his tentacles... yet the next episode it's like this never happened (I haven't watched the series for awhile so I can't recall which eps exactly). Amano got hurt and so did Megumi and it was a very powerful ending - I really don't think it could've been a dream sequence? Other than that this series is great! I didn't like the Urotsukidoji 3 series with the robot and that beast man and those rebels though... what a bunch of mickey mouse bullshit! :tentacle RED ROBOT CALLING RED ROBOT |

Several years ago my friend's uncle thought it would be funny to show us that. I still have nightmares about it. I remember a scene about a gigantic penis destroying the city and absorbing people, where my friend's uncle came up with the mentally scarring remark "You heard of people sucking dick right? Well this dick sucks people!"

The craziest bit is when that kid cuts his schlong off and replaces it with a deamon schlong to get daemonic powers. I think alot of confusion comes from the fact Urotsukidoji was origionaly a 12 part series , then they made parts 1-3 into a film (legend of the overfiend) and cut scenes from the series and added new ones , then the same for parts 4-5 for legend of the demon womb, 6-8 became return of the over fiend -again with bits altered ... Basicaly bad studio planning and production resulted in films which only seem to make sense when watched as an *individual* story , rather than trying to watch it as a timeline . |

One day in college some friends and I decided to have a marathon with the 4 different Urotsukidoji series that were out in the US at the time. We came to the realization that it's not a very good idea. Although in one of the episodes of part 3, they say "fuck" like over 50 times in a half hour episode. I swear there was one line that was "Fuck the fucking fuckers!" |
