| Mockery | Those were their later ads actually, the original ads were always a variety of the bottle in the center on a black background with a spotlight on them and a little reflection (example). Nothing too fancy, just a few things added onto the bottles. It was later in Absolut's history that they moved away from that kind of campaign and started doing a wide variety of ads where various things were made to look like an Absolut bottle (example). Sometimes they didn't even have a bottle in the ad anywhere, just the slogan (example). | |
