BurntToShreds Short summary of what I think of E3:
Mini-games, non-games, ports of former-exsclusives, lack of first-party franchises (You know who I'm talking about), and very few awesome moments overall.

Guitar Woman aww, gay

Well, a story can be linear in a non-linear setting.

Aha! So it's not a port. Also, "streamlined plot" makes me raise my eyebrows. I can't tell whether it's good or bad. I enjoyed running around from place to place in the gigantic mall.

Phoenix Gamma I know. But it still made me chuckle.

Chojin i was referring to chadwarden as a mentality, not the comic genius himself :<

MarioRPG I think (from what little I heard / know) that Microsoft got me the most excited. Kind of pushed me over the edge as to wanting to buy a 360.

Tadao Hey Rog, do you get to talk with the people of Blizzard because you where so cool too them with the domain? I know you won't get any surprising info from them, but I doubt you wouldn't want to talk to them anyways.

pac-man I really think most of the stuff Microsoft is trying to do for the 360 and Live are really just aesthetic. And I'm less than giddy for the upcoming slate of 360 titles. Honestly, after perusing what's on deck for this year, the game I'm looking forward to most on 360 is Ghostbusters: The Video Game. Glad to have you back, Mr. Stay Puft.

Phoenix Gamma I'd say it's a tie between Sony and Microsoft. I can't pick which I dislike the least out of those two.
Jul 17th, 2008 03:42 PM
pac-man Not to get off topic, but who do you guys think has had the best E3? Honestly, I'm underwhelmed by the offerings by all three, but I'd give Sony the edge. Maybe that's because that's because I also think the PS3 can't go anywhere but up.

I'm amazed that you were able to play 30+ hours in almost one sitting.

@pac-man: Mega Man 9 :D
MM 9 is new with an old look. Definitely an attraction worth checking out in my book.

Chojin i'm only using one steam, and it's the one not made by people whose OS i'm borrowing. and like I said, if it isn't going to come out for steam, i'd sooner pirate it than deal with all the pirate protection shit that comes with buying a licensed copy.

Oblivion and Bioshock, mostly. We also had GTA4 and some other stuff, but ragdolling yourself off of motorcycles is only funny for so long.

Now, before you go off on me for liking Oblivion while yelling at Mass Effect for having shitty fighting, let me justify myself by saying that I avoided most of the game's actual combat by pretty much exclusively stealth killing everyone.

As for the second part, that was my first exposure to KOTOR and we ran through it once in about 30 hours because he knew what he was doing.

I did ok, though. I don't see how you can be BAD at KOTOR.
